Sugar cosmetics has recently launched two face palettes and also have launched those same shades individually in mini boxes. Today, I am going to review Sugar Contour De Force mini Blush in the shade 02 Pink Pinnacle. Let’s get into the details now.

My Experience with Sugar Contour De Force Mini Blush 02 Pink Pinnacle:

Packaging: This blush comes in a cute, small black and violet box with a magnetic closure lid. It is actually a hard cardboard box but its quality is good enough and strong too. It feels super light and is easy to carry around. I really like this cute box but it doesn’t contain any mirror inside it, otherwise it is a very affordable blush.

Shade and Pigmentation: It is available in two shades – I wanted to try a deep shade, so I picked this gorgeous shade called “Pink Pinnacle.” It is a beautiful, deep, rosy pink shade that definitely imparts a super bright look to the cheeks. It is a bit of a deep shade for fair skin tones. Since this blush is highly pigmented, you need to apply it with a light hand to avoid clown cheeks. I love this rose shade on my “medium tanned” skin tone because it looks fresh on me. This type of a color is actually perfect for medium to dusky skin tones.

Texture and Quality: It has a soft texture that blends smoothly on the skin. The formula is very soft and lightweight, blends evenly on the skin, doesn’t feel powdery or patchy at all. It doesn’t have any shimmer and is actually a fully matte blush, which imparts a fresh, non-oily, non-patchy, smooth, velvety matte finish on the skin. It does not cling on to dry patches, also does not clog pores.

“Pink Pinnacle” gives your cheeks a beautiful, fresh, pretty look that is perfect for parties. This is not your regular wear kind of a blush for work, you can definitely rock it for special occasions. You can also use it as a blush contour since the color is so deep.

You need to properly blend it with a light hand to get a natural finish and that’s why I prefer a fluffy brush to blend the product. It gives a beautiful, flawless finish. It also never dries out my skin. Even in this winter season, it feels soft and smooth. Also, it does not highlight dry patches. On my sensitive skin, it works well and does not cause breakouts.

Staying Power: The blush lasts for around 5 hours on my oily skin, but after that, the glow fades away. I prefer to use a face mist to help the blush last longer and this way the formula also sets down.

Summing up, I love this blush and it is actually a beautiful shade for winters too when we all love to sport bold makeup. Considering the price, it is definitely worth a buy to get the appearance of healthy cheeks 😛
