Today, I am reviewing one of my all time summer favourite, Supergoop Skin Soothing Mineral Sunscreen with Olive Polyphenols SPF 40. This is one of my usual product and I usually have multiple lying around. I always keep one in my work bag, in case I have to run errands out in the sun.
$28 for 2.4 fl. oz.
This soothing sunscreen delivers super broad-spectrum protection with a delicate touch. It provides physical UV protection while helping to calm inflammation and safeguard against photoaging. The gentle formula was developed with olive polyphenols, which are rich in Omega 3 and Omega 6 fatty acids, and known to reduce the appearance of redness, irritation, and inflammation. This lighweight, hypoallergenic, feel-good formula is ideal for even the most sensitive skin types. Mineral, zinc oxide UV protection creates a physical barrier on skin’s surface, effective at protecting against UV rays immediately upon application. The lightweight texture easily emulsifies onto the skin without leaving a white veil or residue.
My Experience with Supergoop Skin Soothing Mineral Sunscreen with Olive Polyphenols SPF 40:
The packaging is a beautiful, white tube and has blue and yellow on it. It has a snap opening and I have never had issues with it. It is a bit of a risk to travel with, but I mostly use this at home. If you must travel, I would suggest transfering it into an old, sturdy makeup container to prevent any accidents.
The moisturizer is lightweight and gets absorbed immediately and definitely leaves a lingering fragrance for 2 hours at least. This provides quite a lot of moisture just on its own, which it is very shocking for such a lightweight product. I use this on my hands during winters and once summer starts, this becomes my all-over product.
The first thing, I thought while smelling this was that it smelled like a spa. It reminded me of a fresh garden in the spring. It leans toward a floral note, but is mostly dominated by fresh fragrances that make me think of pine trees. I absolutely adore this scent. If you do not like these type of scents, then you may want to skip this.
The thing I love most about it, is the feel of the lotion. It is probably the lightest lotion that I have ever used on my body. It is lighter than BBW body lotion, it has almost a watery feel to it. I never feel like I am slathering a product on my skin. It feels very luxurious. But, it is also the most moisturizing lotion that I have ever used. The lightweight feel and great moisturization make this a winner for me.
