My Experience with Tarte Tartelette Amazonian Clay Matte Palette:

Packaging:

Super Sleek, beautiful case. It has a good-sized mirror inside and the whole palette is about the size of your hand. There are 12 shadows in the palette and the size of this palette makes it a very travel-friendly palette.

Shades:

All the shades are fairly neutral overall. The middle row leans a little bit towards pink-purple, but overall all colors are very wearable and will pair/be a good supplement to use with any look and can be used on its own to create good everyday looks.  All the shades are completely matte with no hint of sheen or shimmer.

Free Spirit:  Cream shade. Pigmentation is average/good. Good brow bone highlighting shade.

Force of Nature: Light coral dusty pink shade.  Pigmentation is good.  A good transition shade.

Dreamer: A deep warm brown shade. Pigmentation is very good. Excellent outer V and crease shade.

Multi-tasker: A deeper brownish-black shade. Pigmentation is very good. Excellent outer V and lower lash line shade.

Caregiver: Light Lilac pink. Pigmentation is average/good. Good brow bone and inner corner highlight for pink eye looks.

Natural Beauty: A light dusty mauve shade. Pigmentation is good. Good transition shade and great for blending out harsh edges.

Best Friend: A purple plum shade. Pigmentation is good. Good shade to create purple eye looks.

Bombshell: A deep eggplant purple with hints of navy undertone. A great outer V shade if you are scared to go for a deep dark black.

Super Mom:  A n*de cream shade.  Pigmentation is a little poor and feels a bit chalky, but still a good brow bone highlight. Shade is a little similar to Free Spirit from the first row.

Wanderer: A light brown. Excellent shade for deepening up crease for no-makeup looks.  Pigmentation is good.

Power Player: A light taupe with hint of grey undertone. Pigmentation is poor and feels chalky, still can be used to blend out outer shades.

Fashionista: A rich matte black, has the most strong pigmentation in the whole palette, a versatile shade.

Texture and Pigmentation:

All the shades are very pigmented except for Super Mom and Power Player, which go on a little sheer and chalky, but still, they are not bad. They can be built up in intensity with multiple layers.  The texture is very smooth, soft and blends easily to create seamless looks. The Amazonian Clay ingredient in these shadows also helps control oil on eyelids to some extent, but it is always recommended to use a primer if you want a long-wearing look.

Overall, these shadows are some of the best and richly-pigmented eye shadows in the market.  They will be a good addition to any makeup collection. I love the fact that Tarte is committed to providing paraben-free products.

Keep in mind, this is a limited edition palette which Tarte has released for 2015 hence it will be available for a good chunk of 2015 year before being discontinued. I will recommend this palette.

• Neutral color will be a good addition to any eye look.
• Some colors in the palette work great for creating a daily no-fuzz eye look or no-makeup makeup looks.
• Very pigmented shades.
• Travel-friendly case with a big mirror.
• No parabens or phthalates.

Cons of Tarte Tartelette Amazonian Clay Matte Palette:

• The shade “Power Player” and “Super Mom” are not that strongly pigmented as the others.
