The Body Shop Pink Grapefruit Body Sorbet Review

Today, I have got another yummy treat for you all – for the spring and summer. 😛 Another treat for good-looking and good-smelling skin. 😀 Okay, okay, it is The Body Shop Pink Grapefruit Body Sorbet. The third variant I picked in my TBS haul. 😀

My Experience with The Body Shop Pink Grapefruit Body Sorbet:

By now, you all know that I am going crazy about the body sorbets by The Body Shop. 😛  I just couldn’t stop after Satsuma and Mango, hence bought the Pink Grapefruit variant too. I love citrusy fragrances, so picking this one up was a no brainer. 😀

The Body Shop Pink Grapefruit Body Sorbet comes in an inverted tube. The tube is matte and transparent, so you always know when you are running out of the product. It has a flip open cap which closes with a click, but the cap is not sturdy enough for traveling. You have to transfer the contents to another smaller packaging to be taken along on a trip. Some issue with the cap it seems, for all three variants I bought, the cap doesn’t close securely. But the tube packaging is really convenient and hygienic as it means no dipping our hands in the tub.

Coming to the fragrance, it is awesome. The fresh and zesty fragrance of pink grapefruit is very uplifting. Though it doesn’t last for long and stays for only around half an hour on my skin. 🙁

If you are not awake even after the shower, this smell for sure is gonna wake you up. 😀 It is citrusy and refreshing and smells exactly like pink grapefruit. Truly, the fragrance is the best part of the product. It is strong when you put on the sorbet, but fades away quickly.

The texture of the product is really interesting. It is semi-opaque, whipped like mousse. On application, it spreads like a gel. Though it does take some time to get absorbed into the skin, it is very lightweight and spreads easily. It feels cool and refreshing when applied.

It hydrates the skin with no greasy or oily feeling left afterwards. I do need to apply a thicker lotion on dry areas like elbows, knees and feet, but then I have super dry skin. The sorbet provides hydration to my skin for good 10-12 hours.

Pros of The Body Shop Pink Grapefruit Body Sorbet:

• Citrusy pink grapefruit smell.
• Fragrance is not very strong.
• Provides light hydration.
• Has a light cooling effect.
• Doesn’t leave skin feeling greasy or sticky.
• Cruelty free.
• Gel/mousse-like texture.

Cons of The Body Shop Pink Grapefruit Body Sorbet:

• Fragrance doesn’t last long.
• Dry skin would need some extra hydration.
• Unavailability in India (this particular variant).

I already have the 3 variants which I guess would last me this summer, but I would repurchase them again, just for their fragrance. 😀

Do I Recommend The Body Shop Pink Grapefruit Body Sorbet?

This is definitely a product worth checking out in the summers, for the awesome fragrances and unique gel like texture. Also with Mango, Strawberry, Satsuma, Pink Grapefruit and Moringa, you are sure gonna find a fragrance for you. 🙂
