I had hauled quite a few mono eyeshadows from The Face Shop recently. I have already reviewed the shades BR02 and BR03 eye shadow shimmer. Today, I am reviewing the shade BK01 from the same range. Keep reading to know more about it.

My Experience with The Face Shop Single Shadow Shimmer BK01:
Starting with the packaging of the product. The eyeshadow comes in a cute and tiny round plastic pan. The pan is white in color and has a clear flip top lid. The lid shuts tightly making it travel friendly. The clear lid helps to spot the shade easily from makeup stash during rush hours.
These eyeshadow pans can be easily stacked on top of one another. The lid bears the brand’s tagline embossed on it in simple white fonts. The back of the pan has a small circular sticker at the back bearing the shade number and other necessary information about the product. It does not come with any applicator but this is not really a con for me as I rarely use those small sponge applicators. Overall, I am happy with the packaging of the product.
“BK01” is a black eyeshadow with loads of shimmers in it. It is not a perfect black eyeshadow and looks like a dark gray color on the eyes upon blending. It is loaded with lots of silver glitters. The presence of glitters gives it a glam look. This makes it a great option for evening parties and night outs. One can achieve a dramatic smokey eye look using this eye shadow. The formula is amazingly pigmented. The color is so opaque that it shows up in a single swipe. I apply a second swipe to make the color look more intense.
The texture of this eyeshadow is soft and smooth, does not feel chalky or powdery. It glides effortlessly on the eyelids and blends effortlessly like a dream. This eyeshadow does not crease at all. The color looks more intense with an eyeshadow primer underneath. Since, it is a glittery eyeshadow, it tends to fall out a lot, but the fallout is easy to clean and does not create too much mess. It is not waterproof.
The longevity of the shadow is somewhere around 5-6 hours on my oily eyelids with an eye primer underneath. It is easy to wipe it off using a makeup remover. The shimmers can be easily removed and does not leave any trace behind.
