As you all know, I play around with my hair so much that it gets affected in some or the other way. And one way in which my hair pays the toll is product buildup. Product build-up causes a lot of hair-fall, itchy scalp and much more. And I got a product to rescue my hair from this issue; it is called the “Cleanse Shampoo for Advanced Detox”. Read on to know whether this worked for me or not!
INR 800 for 250 ml
Deeply cleanses and removes product build-up and dirt. For occasional use.
Apply to wet hair. Lather and rinse thoroughly. Work with toni&guy reconstruction mask for deep repair.
My Experience with Toni and Guy Cleanse Shampoo for Advanced Detox:
The shampoo comes in a huge, signature Toni&Guy bottle in white with black fonts all over it. It is a huge bottle, hence is loaded with the shampoo. This size is pretty bulky, so I would not prefer taking it during any travels, but I think this shampoo is available in travel size too. The cap is really good and unique since I just have to press the button and the nozzle gets raised up. The slot which lets out the shampoo is pretty small, so I can squeeze the needed quantity.
Consistency, smell and feel on the hair:
The shampoo is like a thick clear gel. It looked pretty thick to me because usually the shampoos are very runny. While this is runny, it has a bit of thickness to it. It has a nice, perfumed, floral cum fruity smell which is very mild. I wish it were stronger because it does not smell like a professional or salon-type product, like L’Oreal or Schwarzkopf products. The scent stays on for a while and lingers in my hair but vanishes pretty soon.
It is thick but does not feel as heavy on my scalp. It lathers well, but I need some more amount for my ends. I have noticed that it makes my hair a little hard, so conditioning is a must! It feels very gentle on my scalp but causes mild irritation and dryness in the current season.
It works brilliantly as a clarifying shampoo. It clears the product build-up really well and leaves my hair squeaky clean. I keep on using a lot of hair products and also I don’t wash my hair every-day. These habits lead to natural oil production and hence greasy scalp. Once I wash my scalp with this, there is absolutely no grease left on my scalp. So yes, a total thumbs up for this if you are ready to splurge that amount!
Pros of Toni and Guy Cleanse Shampoo for Advanced Detox:
• A long bottle, loaded with shampoo
• Sits nicely on my shower
• A lovely, unique, press cap which works brilliantly
• A coin sized amount is needed to work at a time
• Has a soothing, perfumed scent which lingers
• Clarifies all of the product build-up in just one wash
• Leaves my scalp squeaky clean
Cons of Toni and Guy Cleanse Shampoo for Advanced Detox:
• Irritates my skin a bit, especially during winters since the scalp is already dry
• It is expensive (but it is a professional brand)
• The scent does not linger for long
• A conditioner is a must after using this
Would I Repurchase/Recommend Toni and Guy Cleanse Shampoo for Advanced Detox?
Yes, because it is a really good clarifying shampoo that clears the scalp and build-up in a brilliant manner. Totally recommended if you are looking for a good clarifying shampoo!
Toni&Guy has always been a mixed bag for me. They have really good stuff but the products are pretty high-priced and we can easily find substitutes. So yeah, I will be hunting for such good clarifying shampoos which I can buy at cheaper price.
