I hoard makeup products but mascara is not one of them, I just have a couple of them including the one this post is about. I bought this product during Thanksgiving sale and haven’t used it much since then.

My take on Ulta Blue Electric Mascara :

I like to do makeup to look pretty and enhance my beauty but not to look freaky or stand out in weird way – grunge make up ring a bell? Anyhow, this product is for people who like to dress up to stand out and do something different to spice things up.

Packaging:
Products come in a finger-long tube, divided in half and half for wand and mascara. It’s blue in color which makes it easier to identify. The wand is a regular mascara brush, bent at an angel.

Texture:
It’s not very liquid or wet but is rather dry and clumpy.
Pigmentation: Since one is trying to turn black lashes into blue, one has to apply multiple coats to get decent color pay off. But after layer it, lashes do turn blue, at least on close inspection.

Wear time:

Entire day and is waterproof as long as one does not literally try to stand in the rain and test its potency.

Conclusion:
It’s a fun product to try out and one can surprise people with unique lash color. It is not pricey like other colored mascara I saw in Sephora, also the color it gives is not that obvious that people would gawk at you from a mile but enough to be visible from safe distance and I guess would stand out more on fair skinned beauties. One drawback is that because of all the layering, lashes become all clumpy and brittle so one should avoid wearing it on daily basis but once in a while would do no harm. The product comes in purple shade also which would be even prettier to wear and unique.

Would I repurchase Ulta Blue Electric Mascara?

No because it will last me a while and would experiment with other shades in other brands but this is cheap option to start with.
