Bourjois Smokey Eye Trio : Valentine’s Day Soft Pinks Makeup
Before leaving for my trip, I tried this fun look for the Valentine’s day. I don’t know whether I have mentioned this before that I could not pull off pink eye shadows. Well! now I can. 😉 I can say thanks to the Bourjois eye shadows. Also, now that I am getting better with my makeup skills (imo :P), I kind of tweak with stuff and make a lot of things work for me these days.
Bourjois Smokey Eyes trio: These are powder eyeshadows. They are not very pigmented but they are buildable. The Bourjois smokey trio would help you achieve soft smokey eyes as opposed to the typical bold smokey eyes. I like the shadows for their softness because I am still getting used to the bold eyeshadow looks. I pull off the boldest of eyeliners but I am taking my own sweet time with eye shadows. The eye shadows are not at all chalky.
These shadows might be disappointing for people who are used to using very pigmented eye shadows. But these eye shadows would work fab for office wear or formal where where you want some soft colour on your eyes without making it too evident. Me love them! 🙂
Regarding Pink Eyeshadows: What I noticed is that pink eye shadows don’t come up with their full vibrancy if you don’t give them a pink base -a pink cream eyeshadow or pink eye gloss. Some of the recommendations would be Revlon’s illuminance creme in Pink Petals/MAC paint pot in Fresco Rose. (If you have any recommendations, do let me know). I didn’t have any of these while I was doing the look but I might just pick up a pink cream based shadow for future purposes.
I didn’t use the lightest pink from the trio because it was making me look ill again.
I would love to know your recommendations and suggestions. Also, do try out the pink look and let me know how it worked for you. 🙂
