I recently spotted this new lotion variant from Vaseline and decided to pick it up because, it was meant for mature skin. I have very dry skin and thought to repair it before the real summer hits in Netherlands. Today’s review is all about Vaseline Intensive Care Mature Skin Rejuvenation Healing Moisture Lotion. My Experience with Vaseline Intensive Care Mature Skin Rejuvenation Lotion:
The lotion comes in a big white plastic bottle which is the typical design for Vaseline. The flip cap is also white in color and closes well without any issues. The product comes unsealed. There is a lot of information on the back of the bottle. The bottle is opaque and you cannot see through the bottle.
The product is semi-thick and white in color. It is creamy and has a lightweight texture. The lotion has a gel crème like consistency. It smells very pleasant and not very empowering, but still it is a little strong for what they claim light fragranced.
The product is meant for mature skin which is very drying and ages. It is mentioned on the website that it is a lotion you use after menopause, but I don’t find anything mentioned on the bottle. The lotion is very easy to apply and absorbs very well onto the skin. It doesn’t leave any greasy residue. The lotion makes the skin very smooth and soft instantly. It intensively nourishes the skin and adds in the moisture needed for dry skin. The lotion is lightweight and is suitable for all seasons. The product tones the skin and replenishes the skin. It also rejuvenates the skin and I could notice difference within a week from usage. This is due to the presence of PPAR activators which help in changing the skin appearance and making it better. The product also heals the skin and eliminates any dryness present. I have very dry skin and it tends to get very itchy when the weather turns dry and this lotion helps in soothing my skin. The product intensively moisturizes the skin and heals damaged skin within a week. This makes me think if it is really meant for me. There could be high concentrated ingredients which are not meant for my skin. I gave this lotion to my aunt and she noticed that the wrinkles are reducing on her skin and her skin is radiant. I guess this could be a good choice after menopause or ages 45+.
This could be a great choice for pregnant women who tend to get itchy skin as their stomach expands but I am not sure if it safe. Overall, this is a great product from Vaseline. If they would release this in a variant for younger women I would stick onto this product forever. Unfortunately, for now I bid adieu to this one till I am 45! So summing up.
