Today I am back with another product from The Body Shop. With winters season one common problem is dry lips. After the body butters, TBS has provided us with a new lip butter for super soft lips this winters. It has been named as The Body Shop Foundation Dragon Fruit Lip Butter.
Product Description: This super-moisturising balm leaves lips feeling softer and smoother
- Instant hydration
- Buttery texture
- For softer, smoother lips
Directions To Use: Smooth onto the lips throughout the day.
Price: 350 INR.
Quantity: 10 ml.
Product Description: The lip butter comes in a cute pink and green pot packing. Written on it is the brand name and the product name with a pink base. The packaging is very cute and kind of kiddish. It reminds you of the good old days when you were in 4th or 5th class and use to possess such cute and colourful products. After you unscrew the cap, you can easily sniff the fragrance of the lip butter which is sweet as expected from TBS products. I would relate it to the fragrance of bubble gum we use to eat once upon a time 😛 and I am very serious on this, you may sniff it yourself and decide.
My Experience With The Body Shop Dragon Fruit Lip Butter:
The lip butter in the pot packaging is off white in color. It extremely delicious in taste and smell. As I described earlier, the fragrance would surely remind you of the bubble gums we use too eat. Moving forward with the texture of the lip butter. The lip butter is really soft and smooth, which makes it easy for application on to the lips. Single swipe of finger might not be enough for the lips, so you will have to dip in the finger again for full coverage of the lips with the butter.
On application of lip butter you might end up with a hint of whitish cast on the lips which fades away within a second leaving behind shiny nude lips. The lip turns the lips smooth and soft but the result won’t stay for long. Even though the lips would be smooth, but still you would an urge to reapply the butter, because you lips get a stretchy kind of feeling after a while. So I almost end up reapplying the lip butter every 45 minutes. You can feel a bit dryness after a while. It is not like any other regular Vaseline based lip balms which keep your lips hydrated for really long and on which you can apply any other glossy lip shade.
I had high expectations from the lip butter but I am not satisfied with the same. For winters, this butter alone cannot rescue your lips from the harsh dry air. You will surely have to look on for other lip balm along with this one.
Pros of The Body Shop Dragon Fruit Lip Butter:
- The texture of the lip butter is utterly soft and smooth.
- The lips became soft and smooth immediately after application.
- The fragrance is really yum.
- The pot pack would last more than a moth and a half.
- Easily available at TBS stores.
Cons of The Body Shop Dragon Fruit Lip Butter:
- Even though it makes the lips smooth and soft, but this effect doesn’t lasts for long.
- Gives the lips a stretchy kind of feeling that you automatically have an urge to reapply the lip butter.
- I am you sure lips can’t survive with this lip butter alone, so you might end up buying another lip balm along with it.
- It is actually true to its claim that you need to smooth on the lip butter throughout the day. 😛
