I love YSL lip products and there’s no exception with this YSL Volupte Liquid Balm either. YSL’s latest launch – Volupte Liquid Color Balm has been everyone’s favorite for months now and I picked up two shades from this new range – “Excite Me Pink” and “Hook Me Berry.” In this post, I am reviewing the shade “Hook Me Berry.”

My Experience with YSL Volupte Liquid Balm Hook Me Berry 11:

YSL Volupte liquid color balm comes housed in a silver metal with a pink band containing YSL logo on it. The shade name is mentioned at the bottom of the tube and the applicator is attached to the cap itself. There is a lip cutout showing the color through it. The applicator has a lip-shaped mould which holds the perfect amount of product to cover the entire lips and it also fit lips perfectly.

“Hook Me Berry” has a beautiful rusty red shade with brown undertones which would suit a variety of skin tones. I get around 4 hours of wear time, which is just fine, but I actually don’t mind it since I use it as a gloss more often than just by its own. Like all other YSL lip products, it also has a fruity scent, which fades away after a while after application.

YSL Volupte liquid color balm is a basically YSL tint in oil on steroids. YSL Color Balm is a creamy lip product, which is smooth to apply. YSL color balm feels very lightweight, moisturising and hydrating on the lips.

I like to wear it alone and also use it as a lip gloss because it offers one of the best wet-looking lips with high shine. When worn alone, it leaves a beautiful tint, and even when the color wears off, it doesn’t make your lips flat. You need to apply the color balm back again to get back the hydration on to the lips.
