My Experience with Yves Rocher Bio Nourishing Lip Balm:
This lip balm comes in a cream tube packaging with a brown screw cap. The tube has an applicator which dispenses the lip balm. The tube does not come sealed. The applicator shape aids in easy application. The lip balm is clear and thick. It has a very organic kind of a smell which many would not take a liking to.
The lip balm glides very smoothly and can be evenly applied on the lips. The product is similar to Vaseline and in summers, there are chances that it would melt a bit and feel like oil in the tube. This lip balm provides a sheer finish when applied. The lip balm doesn’t get completely absorbed into the skin and you can feel a film of greasy layer behind, but it doesn’t spread which is a plus.
The lip balm instantly softens the dryness on the lips and moisturizes too. It provides nourishment for more than 5 hours after which reapplication is needed. The product also softens the lip balm and it adds a feeling of plumpness to the lips. The lip balm is transparent and doesn’t impart any color. The results of the product are not temporary and over a period of time, it does soften the lips and makes it smoother, eliminating any dryness. I have noticed my lips flaking out lesser than usual. This lip balm doesn’t help in removing darkness or pigmentation. Due to its sheer finish, the product doesn’t make a good base for lipsticks.
You need to wait a while before applying lipstick. I usually wear my lipstick after 25-30 minutes of application. When I apply the lip balm in the night, I wake up to beautiful, well-nourished lips! The product is made up of 99% natural ingredients out of which 16% is from organic farming and this makes it a good natural product. The product is also free from parabens which is another reason to buy it. I would say it is expensive for a drugstore brand but the results are amazing and I wouldn’t mind shelling out a bit to keep my lips beautiful
