Zoeva Strobe Gel Halo Review

Hello Everyone!

Today’s review is all about Zoeva Strobe gel Halo. I love Zoeva products. They are of good quality, well packaged and also quite affordable. The strobe gel is something totally new for me and they are my first purchase. It is available in 3 shades and I got all 3 of them hoping to use it on different occasions. Here is the review of the shade “Halo”.

Zoeva Strobe Gel Halo Review

Product Description:
Glowing from within, the ZOEVA Strobe Gel collection was designed to add incandescent beams of light to the complexion with sublime, pearlescent formula in three flattering shades for all skin tones. The unique, memory shape gel texture captures and diffuses the surrounding light, imparting a luminescent shimmer and leaving the skin with a natural, translucent finish and a light diffused 3D effect. Melting into the skin, the moisturizing lightweight formula can be layered for varying levels of intensity – from a natural-looking, sheer glow to intense
strobing highlights for dramatic evening looks.
Halo – Pearl strobe gel with silver shimmer for fair to light skin tones.
CORONA – Peachy strobe gel with rose gold shimmer for light to medium skin tones
AUREOLE – Bronze strobe gel with gold shimmer for medium and olive to dark skin tones

My Experience with Zoeva Strobe Gel Halo:

The strobe gel comes in a black cardboard packaging. Inside it is a small cute little transparent pot with a black screw lid top. The shade of the product is visible on the bottom of the pot. The product has a life time of 12 months.

The product consistency is gel-like. One can just pick up a little product with finger or brush and then apply onto the highest points of face and also on collar bone.

The best thing is that the gel gets back to shape after digging out the product. There are no dents formed. This looks cool and clean every time when you open the product to use. The product when used on skin creates a slight cooling effect.

The color “Halo” is a beautiful pearly shade which is targeted for very light skin tones. I would not suggest this shade unless you are extremely light skin toned. The best part is that it has no shimmer particles visible which make you look like disco ball. Its just the glow that the product imparts.

The product does not shift or slide over time. They stay put for around 5 hours or so. After 5 hours or so they slightly fade, but the effect is not completely gone. If you are indoors, then the product lasts longer.

When applying over the skin, they kind of stick to the skin. I find them not creamy, but gel kind. So, they stick if not spread well and do concentrate on some points. They take less time to dry completely making it slightly difficult to work with. One has to be quite quick to work and also it is best to apply with brush than fingers.

Zoeva Strobe Gel Halo Hand Swatch

I have used it on foundation with powder on top and they work not so great . You can layer it for starker effect, but I felt it looks artificial. But, I am new to highlighter and strobing so, give it a try by yourself.

Overall it’s a good product which you can use on cheekbones, brow bones, tip of your nose, cupids bow and collar bone when used rightly.

Pros of Zoeva Strobe Gel Halo:

  • Lovely packaging.
  • Not expensive but great results.
  • Suits very light skin tones (there is a shade for every skin tone).
  • Gel formula that is easy to work with.
  • Lasts atleast 5 hours.
  • Buildable.
  • No visible shimmer, but a lovely glow is imparted.
  • Can be used daytime and nighttime.
  • Gets back to shape and no dents seen on product.

Cons of Zoeva Strobe Gel Halo:

  • Digging into the pot is not hygienic.
  • Can get cakey if layered more.
  • Cannot be used with fingers for flawless finish.
