Bare Escentuals bareMinerals Matte SPF 15 Foundation – Golden Fair Review
Today, I am going to review one of my favourite face products though I have discovered it quite recently. I was on a lookout for a mineral foundation after reading about their benefits for oily skin here at IMBB only. As luck would have it, my close friend was returning from US, so I asked her to get one for me. I was apprehensive about the shade selection, but voila when it came, it matched my skin tone perfectly. Let’s take a detailed review of the same:

Bare Escentuals bare Minerals matte SPF 15 Foundation (Shade: Golden fair).
Price/ Packaging/Quantity:
$ 28 or INR 1400. It comes in the usual jar-like packaging which has sifters to control the amount of product and the lid which twists to get closed. Most of the mineral foundations or loose powders have the same kind of packaging. The quantity being offered is 0.21 Oz or 6 gm.
Ingredients:
Lauroyl Lysine, Silica, Calcium Silicate, Soil Minerals. May Contain: Mica, Titanium Dioxide, Iron Oxides.

My Take on Bare Escentuals bareMinerals Matte SPF 15 Foundation – Golden Fair:
Well, I have already said about the product in the starting that it is one of my favourite face products. It is the perfect foundation which an oily-skinned beauty can ask for. I apply it with my kabuki brush and it gets spread very evenly, smoothly and gives my face a matte finish for a good 4-5 hours.
The powder though at first seems a bit coarse but settles very easily and finely on the face without being scratchy. It gives medium to full coverage, yes, it does give full coverage! It feels very light on the skin and doesn’t ever get cakey. It has never broken me out (I have oily, acne-prone skin). Also, it is noncomedogenic, hence does not clog the pores. One more best thing about this foundation is that it is paraben free :yahoo:

- Noncomedogenic, hence won’t clog pores.
- Feels natural, lightweight on the skin.
- Keeps skin matte and stays for a good 4-5 hours.
- Doesn’t get cakey.
- Has SPF also, can be worn during the day without putting a separate sunscreen.
- Gives medium-to-full coverage.
- Does not aggravate the existing acne nor does it give any fresh ones.
- No parabens.
Cons of Bare Escentuals bareMinerals Matte SPF 15 Foundation – Golden Fair:
- Not available in India. Oh God, what will I do when this gets over 😥
- Sometimes, the sifters do not control the quantity and I end up taking more than required. Though the same can be handled very well by tapping on the brush before application, but still!!!!
