Faces Minerals Compact Ivory Beige 02
Hey Beauties, Today, I’m going to review my compact which is from Faces Minerals. After trying out Maybelline Whitestay, Lakme, etc., I thought of checking out this one. With the mineral onset in the market, somehow even I have started feeling that minerals are good for the skin 😀 😀 It comes in a compact black case which is smart and easy to carry. The secure lock is also good and does not opens on its own which is something I really like :thumsup: :thumbsup:
I have got the shade Ivory Beige 02. They have a wide variety of shades on the website, but I think only few are available in India.
Ingredients:
The sponge that comes with the compact is smooth and easy to use. I have been using it since a few months and it doesn’t wear off easily.
Product Description by Faces Cosmetics:
- Oil-free powder compact.
- This dual finish compact can be used to finish liquid foundation or for sheer coverage and to control shine.
- Can be used by all skin types.
Price:
Rs. 499 for 9 gm (I got it for Rs. 359).
Fragrance:
Ultra mild fragrance which is close to no fragrance at all.
My Take on Faces Minerals Compact – Ivory Beige 02:
I got the shade Ivory Beige 02. The coverage is medium. I generally use it for daily wear to work after I have applied my face cream. It is smooth but not as smooth as my Maybelline Whitestay Compact. Somehow, I feel it might make your skin dry, but that’s what I feel. I have a normal skin and it hasn’t yet made it real dry so far. I have been using it since 4-5 months and haven’t faced any issues though. I have worn it from morning to evening without feeling the need to re-apply/touch up.
Swatch and how it looks after blending on my skin:
It does not have any shimmer. That’s a trick played by my camera :tongue: :tongue:

After blending it does impart a nice finish.
Pros of Faces Minerals Compact – Ivory Beige 02:
- Compact and smart casing.
- Sponge is smooth and nice.
- Good staying power.
- Doesn’t make the skin look dull at the end of the day.
- No parabens.
- 100% minerals, so good for skin.
- Does not cause breakouts.
- Does not feel heavy at all.
Cons of Faces Minerals Compact – Ivory Beige 02:
- Missing minor smoothness quotient. If I compare this with Maybelline Whitestay or Lakme ones, they score more as far as smoothness on application is concerned.
- If I compare, no UV protection and vitamins like in Whitestay from Maybelline.
- A little chalky.

Will I Buy Faces Minerals Compact – Ivory Beige 02 Again?
Maybe no as I felt Maybelline Whitestay is better and I would want to try a different brand next time.

Even if they don’t live up to all the claims still they wont disappoint you and deliver atleast 60% results and best of all they are not too pricey as well

Omg.. I bought this n threw it immediately.. Didn’t work for me at all., I thought the powder was quite coarse..not finely milled at all and the sponge applicator is too thin to pick up the product properly.. All in all a royal fail for me… :spank: :spank: :spank:

Faces have a loose mineral powder foundation in a cute container with a puff attached on top – i tried it at the counter ages ago, tha seems to be a better bet – i`d like to give their liquid mineral foundation a try though
