I am back with a new exciting review. 😛  Previously, I had reviewed about The Body Shop Chocomania Body Butter.  Today, I am going to review the body scrub from the same “Chocomania” range of TBS – The Body Shop Chocomania Body Scrub.

This whole “Chocomania” range introduced by TBS is very fascinating.  Also, since it was a complete, exotic dark chocolate range, it tempted me to get more stuff from this range.  I was anyway in search of a good body scrub and the search ends here.  Apart from the lip butter and body scrub, I also purchased the body wash from this range which is equally great and moisturizing.

Here is how it looks.

It’s a big tub of dark brown chocolatey goodness.  The scrub is of dark chocolate brown color and it smells like Bournville, just dark chocolate. Its too tempting just because of its smell.  I took the pictures two months ago, as soon as I got this scrub and hence my tub is looking very neat and tidy. 😛

Cost:

Rs. 895/- for 200 ml.

It is mentioned as “exfoliant corporel,” which means that its a good exfoliator and the product also mentions:

• Feel good smoothness.
• Exfoliation Gourmande.

Product Description:

• Removes dead skin cells.
• Stimulates skin microcirculation.
• Leaves skin feeling softer and smoother.
• Indulgent chocolate scent.

I googled for its ingredients list just to check what all it contains and how those ingredients benefit.  It contains

• Pure Cocoa Butter – it moisturizes and helps condition the skin.
• Organic Cane Sugar – it acts as a great exfoliator.

In this picture, the granules of the scrub are clearly visible.  They are transparent and look like fine sugar.

I have used this scrub once a week and I must say that this is one of the best body scrubs I have come across.  It exfoliates the skin very nicely, leaving behind a pleasant chocolate-y fragrance which lasts for two to three hours. Also, it doesn’t make the skin dry or stretchy.  In fact, I don’t feel the need to apply any moisturizing cream after using this scrub. It’s a boon for people with dry and very dry body skin.

The shelf life of the body scrub is three years. I will be keeping some of the scrub apart to be used in winters because in winters, most of the body scrubs behave harshly on my skin, leaving behind a dry and stretchy feeling. On the other hand, they don’t even smell divine as this one. 😛

The scrub contains a good granular effect and hence exfoliates skin decently. Also, no oily residue is left behind. Skin feels soft, supple and super moisturized.  The dead skin gets sloughed off with this scrub.  I would suggest it’s a must try for everyone, firstly because of it being a great exfoliator and secondly because of its dark chocolate-y smell.

Pros of The Body Shop Chocomania Body Scrub:

• Extremely moisturizing.
• Ultra hydrating and moisturizing.
• Leaves the skin soft and smooth since it is a great exfoliator.
• Smells like dark chocolate, who would not like that.
• Contains all natural ingredients.
• Shelf life is three years.
• Will last for around 4-5 months when used once a week.
• Great price for that quantity as well as quality.

Cons of The Body Shop Chocomania Body Scrub:

I can’t think of any con since I am loving this body scrub a lot.
