Elle 18 Moulin Rouge Color Pops Lipstick Review

Hello all,

I found this gorgeous shade from the brand “Elle 18” and realized it has not been reviewed yet on IMBB. I guess it is a new shade, here’s a quick review of “Moulin Rouge.”

Price:

120 INR for 4.3 gm.

Ingredients:  Cocoa butter and jojoba oil are mentioned, complete ingredients are missing.

My Experience with Elle 18 Moulin Rouge Color Pops Lipstick:

Packaging: The lipstick comes in a black plastic tube, with a black cap that has a picture of a girl. I find it extremely cute though the overall packaging is flimsy. I would have liked if it were color coded, since it would be easy to locate the shades. The shade name and number is printed on a sticker stuck at the bottom of the tube.

Shade: “Moulin Rouge” is a gorgeous red color with brown and pink tones.  It is kind of shade that brightens up your face yet it’s so wearable. Neither too bold nor too dull. It will easily suit most skin tones.

Texture: The lipstick bullet has two parts, a balmy core surrounded by the actual color. The texture of the lipstick is lightweight and thin. It glides easily on lips, without hassle. It feels light on lips and isn’t too bothersome. Even though it does not settle in fine lines but it tends to dry out lips eventually.

Pigmentation: The pigmentation and color payoff are really lovely for the price tag; it gets completely opaque in a single swipe. Two swipes are needed for complete coverage. The actual color can be seen in a single swipe which is laudable.

Staying Power:  Staying power sucks, stays for like 2 hours, that too without snacking and licking your lips. One big problem that I have with this lipstick is that transfers crazily, even at the slightest touch! It is such a pain to see all the cups and spoons smeared with the stain! Moulin Rouge bleeds when layered. Even with the balmy core, it feels slightly drying though I love the color a lot.

Cons of Elle 18 Moulin Rouge Color Pops Lipstick:

• Packaging may feel a bit flimsy.
• Transfers a lot.
• Staying power could have been better.
