Elle 18 Color Pops Lipstick: Rosy Blush Review

Elle 18 Color Pops Lipstick Rosy Blush Review

I don’t know what has come over me that I have been reviewing lip products in a row, but never mind 😛 One of the readers wanted to know about more shades from this Elle 18 range and so here is another one I have. I already have reviewed Cranberry, Pomegranate Pie, and Pinken.  I have two more gorgeous shades that are not much talked of. As of now, enjoy this review.  This one is such a contrast to the Pinken shade I reviewed, Pinken is my everyday shade.

Red Lipstick 1

Like I have been saying, these lipsticks are a little gentle and break at the base easily. You cannot expect them to be not messy. They have a moisturising core in the centre which merges with the color, lightening it.  I feel that happens in the case of Pinken at least.  The lipstick on the whole is very soft, moisturising, and very young.

Red Lipstick 2

At the cost of Rs. 100, this lipstick delivers much more than it should.  I have loved the earlier range of Elle 18 as well and my few favourites such as Poppy Rush and others have been reviewed long back.  Before I could use them much, they broke and melted down, but nevertheless were great shades. This new range I think has more deeper shades at of course double the money, but still, these lipsticks are so easy on the pocket, so I suggest they come up with many more shades and they would sell very well!

Red Lipstick 3

The texture of the lipstick is thick and very pigmented. The core in the centre adds to the shine and the finish is like an oily-shiny one, which is not my personal favourite, but it can be blotted off in 5 seconds not at the cost of the color.

Red Lipstick 4

The shade I feel is a very loud orange red in person. The pigmentation makes it inappropriate for day wear.  The shade can even be called “bridal” actually, but it’s a very pretty red and would suit many because orangey reds are much better than maroon reds.  It depends on what kind of reds go well with your skin tone. This would go well for warmer yellow skin tones I feel, fair or dusky.

Red

Its unbelievable that such a deep, pigmented red does not stain a wee bit.  Colorbar has so much to learn from such a humble lipstick 😛 not drying at all.  Most of us would like this lipstick.  The name though suggests something pink, but yes, may be a red rose or something, but still a misnomer. It smells like bubblegum, something I don’t like much.

Red Lipstick Swatch

The lasting power is not bad either. Its nothing that bothers me. The packing is very cute and young. The price point is excellent and so is the orangey red shade.  The finish can be blotted off to get a matte effect.

Can you suggest lipsticks for fair skinned women like me who do no want to spend more than 200 bucks on a stick ? i generally stick with elegant and subtle pinks, oranges and peaches. i like elle 18 but idk how it would look on me. need serious advice 🙂
