How to Start Losing Weight at Home in Just Ten Days

It feels so good to know that you guys are willing to lose some extra pounds and willing to get fitter and healthier. I know you cannot spare any time out of your busy schedule but you want to look slim in your hottest outfits. From my personal experience, I am sharing these weight loss tips that will actually make you look slimmer and fitter in just 10 days. Make sure that you follow these tips religiously for next 10 days.

1. Climb those stairs daily

15 minutes of climbing stairs will boost your metabolism, make you more active and tone your leg muscles (thighs, buttocks and calves). It might feel like you are only working your leg muscles but be assured that your whole body is active while you are climbing up and down.

2. Smart fluid intake

  • Drink 2-3 glasses of water after you get out of your bed. It will cleanse and activate your digestive system.
  • Drink tea in the morning. A cup of green tea after every meal will help you boost your metabolism.
  • Drink a cup of coffee (prefer sugar-free) before the workout. It will help you burn more calories during the workout and will also reduce post-workout muscle pain.
  • Drink as much as water you can throughout the day, preferably before meals. This will prevent overeating. Water is also known to hydrate your body and it is good for your skin.
  • Drink honey + water or lemon juice + water from time to time. It will help you burn extra fat.

3. Do 100 jumping jacks daily

It might sound crazy but it does work your core muscles and reduces love handles. You can lose an inch or two from your waist easily by doing just hundred jumping jacks daily. You need not do hundred n just one go; you may take proper intervals and gradually build up.

4. Stop peeping in the fridge just because you’re bored

We cannot lose weight if we keep eating things that we don’t need to. Eat healthy. Eat 5-10 cashews and almonds when you feel hungry between the meals. Keep a dark chocolate bar (60% or more cocoa) handy. It is known to reduce stress, release anti-oxidants and induce weight loss. Do not overeat as it is chocolate after all. One bar should last you 10 days.

5. Don’t forget to smile

Another crazy trick is to stay calm and happy during the whole routine. Smiling will firm up your face muscles. You will feel calmer from within even if you are fake a smile. Fake a smile! You know that you look prettier when you smile. Always keep that in mind.

  • Make an awesome playlist for your workout. Listening to songs while working out will make the activity more enjoyable.
  • Start exercises with 5-10 minutes of warm-up and do stretching after workout to avoid cramps and stiffness in muscles.
  • Motivate yourself every single day. Set alarms and reminders, keep checking workout and inspirational quotes. Download images of that one celebrity who you think has the best body!
  • Stay focused. You cannot achieve what you want just by thinking about it. Work for it today because abs don’t happen overnight.
  • Skip rope, dance to your favourite song, walk, run – just keep yourself active.
  • Meditate. Clear your mind of all the worldly thoughts and just be with yourself for 10-15 minutes. Stress-free.

These things will NOT help

  • Overdoing cardio-exercises. 45 minutes of walking, running, climbing is enough cardio per day for slimming yourself down to any size. More than that will result in losing good fat ( cheeks, breasts, butt), which is not recommended.
  • Skipping breakfast. Eat properly in the first half of the day, i.e. breakfast and lunch. If you skip breakfast, your body will think that you are fasting and it will be storing more fats than usual in order to survive the whole day. Let your body burn more calories by consuming healthy breakfast.
  • Stressing too much.
  • Just tell yourself that you cannot control everything. Sometimes you just have to sit back and relax. Time heals everything. As a woman, you have to keep in mind that your body needs to keep hormonal balance in order to stay slim and healthy. Stressing = hormonal imbalance = loss of health = stress = overeating. Stop it today!
  • Forgetting sports shoes. You must wear sports shoes when you are doing cardio exercises. It takes care of your ankles and reduces negative impact on bones and muscles.
  • Forgetting to smile. DO NOT FORGET TO SMILE! Smile while exercising! Smile while cooking, reading, writing, thinking, bathing, shopping, trekking, surfing, driving, working, smiling. When you are not thinking about anything, you should be reminding yourself to smile. When you are thinking about a lot of things, don’t forget to smile. Make it a habit.
