Jewellery Storage Ideas

Dont you just hate it when your favourite jewellery pieces get all tangled up and consequently disfigured? Recently, one of my favourite neckpieces which was gifted to me by my sister got ruined for life because of I was too lazy to store it safely ๐Ÿ™

Jewellery Storage Ideas

So I looked up ways different of storing jewellery on the internet and thought of sharing with you, some of the ideas that I really liked.

Necklaces

This one I think is the best way of storing your necklaces. Just hang them by board pins on a board or on strips of really thick cloth piece and put a lovely frame around it. Isnโ€™t the blue frame just droolworthy?
+: cheap, DIY, all the neckpieces on display-> easy to decide what to wear.
-: needs a lot of space, not suitable for pearls or other beaded necklaces

Bracelets and Bangles

bangles storage ideas
Hang your bangles and bracelets on a cute mug holder or paper towel holder in a bright bright color.
+: will instantly brighten up any wall
-: will take up space and may not come cheap

Rings

rings storage ideas
Find big cups in your favourite colours and store all your rings in there. If you have more space and time, hammer some nails on a wooden board after painting it a bright colour, and hang all your chunky rings on the nails.
+: will not take up much space, cheap, DIY
-: canโ€™t think of any

Earrings

If you are one of the few lucky women in this world to have your own walk in closet, you should definitely do this. Take a sheet of insect screen from your local hardware shop and put a wooden frame around it. Now just hang your earrings on the screen and place this frame next to your full length mirror. You can play around with the colour of the frame and the screen, or put a knob on the frame and decorate it.

If you donโ€™t have that kind of space or even an empty wall, just take an iron basket and put it on a stand, and hang your earrings on it.
earrings stand
+: every pair is on display->easy to browse through
-: needs space and is expensive, will not accommodate studs
A very very cheap way of storing your earrings is to just take a martini glass and hang your earrings on its rim. You can fill the glass with studs.

Won’t work for studs though, they can go in the martini glass.

And I already have a few ideas for my studs,so your idea for storing danglies is just lovely! ๐Ÿ˜€

  4. great looking ones aashima…
unfortunately not suitable for places where dust settles. i cleanly wrap them up and put it in my draw…tangles well there are if stored together…

    1. love the bangles and bracelets on cup and paper towel holder… a bright great alternative for the usual bangle holder that comes in wooden monotones!

  5. hey thanks for sharing such awesome ideas! ๐Ÿ™‚ ๐Ÿ™‚ unfortunately, i can’ do these things in my hostel room right now due to space constraints. ๐Ÿ™
    maybe later on…

  6. i hang all my necklaces on a hanger   that purana wala steel hangers….they are perfect. Have to yet find a good place to keep earrings…currently they are in multilevel boxes that i found in an exhibition….lovely post aashima

loved your ideas and ya me also like the first one the most

  7. Great ideas aashima :waytogo: . Liked it a lot   …
For storing studs use a thermocoal and u can place the studs in it.. If the thermocoal placed inside a nice frame it looks pretty too…
Aashima i too use some of the ideas, i pasted a beautiful cardboardpaer( from weding card) in the inside part of my almirah door and hang my earrings there.. It too look good and convinient for me … :yahoo:

  8. Creative Compilation… ๐Ÿ™‚ Adding my 2 cents..

    1. Cloth Hangers can be used to hang Neckpieces.
    2. Glass stands (those classic ones having 6 sticks in circular form) can used to store bangles.
    3. Lipstick/Nail Enamel boxes can be used to store studs/rings.
    4. Fill cute bowl with stones/colured sand. Take one thick pipe/bamboo & cover it with colourful sock & make it stand staright in the bowl. This can be used as hanger for your danglings & decor piece for your Dressing Table. Go creative in coordinating colour of bowl + sand/stones + sock..!!
    5. Badminton/Tennis Rackets can be used to store earrings after breaking their handles.
    6. Kitchen Tissue holder (base & stick) can be used to store bangles/kadas.

Now lemme stop here…2 cents se kuchh zyada ho raha hai..

  9. Verrry good ideas.. but i have loads and loads and loads and loads and loads.. :woot: :woot: :woot: of bangles..any idea for them? right now they clog two whole racks in my cup board! O:) ?:)

  10. Gayathri..I knw wat you are saying. At my moms home..I had that special arrangement inside my wardrobe doors for my endless bangles.. Got ’em done by carpenter while wardrobe was being made. Trying to xplain it to you. There are series of sockets starting frm top to bottom of doors. Each socket holds a wooden pipe ( of around one inch lesser diameter than of bangles) covered with velvelt which can be fitted & taken out to/frm slit on either side of socket with the help of narrow portion on either side of pipe. Helped me to great xtent in organizing bangles as each pipe was holding around 2 dozens only so easy to take out the required ones..!! Hope I made it clear & it can be of help for you.. ๐Ÿ™‚
