Hope you all had a wonderful Independence Day. I enjoyed my Independence by shopping the end of season sale. I picked few tops and shoes from Zara and cosmetics from MAC. There are days, when we just go shopping, just to pamper ourselves though we do not need the stuff actually. This was one of those days. I realized the same, when I hit home that the lipstick, I picked from MAC was much similar to the one I already own from Lakme. But I do not regret it after all MAC is MAC and we all treasure it so much 😉 So, let me tell you my experience with my new lipstick, MAC Dubonnet Amplified Creme Lipstick.

My Experience with MAC Dubonnet Amplified Creme Lipstick:
MAC Dubonnet Amplified Creme Lipstick comes in a usual bullet packaging with MAC engraved on its cover and on the inner cover too. Like all Amplified Creme Lipstick, the texture of this one is creamy matte. Yet exfoliation of lips is important before wearing this lipstick to avoid any patchy looks and prevent it from getting into fine lines. I prefer prepping my lips with a lip balm before applying to give a nice smooth finish to my lips.
MAC Dubonnet Amplified Creme Lipstick is very rich. A single swipe offers a good amount of colour and gives a nice opaque finish. It is best for pigmented lips. Being from the Amplified Creme range, the lipstick is creamy but appears matte. A small dab of any clear lip gloss at the centre of the lips is sure to complete the look for any evening.
The lipstick however transfers easily. It stays on for 5-6 hours without food or drinks easily. The color is brownish maroon and is very safe for all age groups and skin tones. It is a must have shade for new brides. The lipstick can be easily removed with any make up remover. The Dubonnet shade (brownish maroon) is very similar to Lakme 9 to 5 Lipstick Red Hot (which is reddish maroon). Those who already own Lakme 9 to 5 Lipstick Red Hot can give this one a miss.

A single swipe looks orangish brown, however two or more swipes will render the brownish maroon shade.
