MAC Lustre Lipstick Touch – Review, Swatch

Hello IMBB beauties…

How have you been? I am overwhelmed by the sweet comments from all of you in my previous post. Before I move on with my review here is a small story related to this review. When I first wrote for IMBB, my husband was teasing me, saying “they will never publish your review and if they do I will gift you a MAC lipstick.” Now you all will be knowing my double happiness when I saw my first review on IMBB. Well moving on with the review, my search for MLBB shade ends here with MAC Touch in Lustre finish.

Packaging:

Like all Mac lipsticks from the regular collection, Mac Touch comes in normal Mac black bullet packaging. I really like the silver specks in the black body. The bullet packaging is sturdy and I love the way Mac mentions the finish of the lip color along-with the names on the back side of the lipstick. The outer paper box also bears the finish of the lipstick which again is a very smart idea.

Finish:

Mac comes in a variety of finishes like matte, satin, amplified, frost to name a few. Mac Touch comes in lustre finish which not only moisturizes my lips but also gives a healthy sheen to the lips.

Pigmentation:

Mac Lipsticks with Lustre finish will give moisture and color at the same time. But if you are expecting the pigmentation to be as good as the matte or satin range then you will be disappointed. For the winters lustre finish is pretty awesome as you get the right dose of moisture along-with decent color pay-off.

Staying Power:

Staying power is comparatively low as this is more moisturizing. Transfers to cups, spoons but does not disappear totally. Mac Touch does not leave back a funny stain on lips. You will love the texture and not mind reapplying the lipstick through the day.

My experience with MAC Lustre lipstick -Touch:

Mac Touch is mostly a day wear. Light soft sheen color, mostly a MLBB shade for me, NC42. Love to pair it with smokey eyes, peach blush. This color would be a boon to girls with yellowish skin tones, as MLBB. Mac is and will always be special to me and there is something special about this particular lippy (already mentioned). Give it a try at the stores next time you step into Mac.

Price:

Rs 990 for 3gms, worth every penny.

Pros of Mac Lustre Lipstick- Touch:

• Lustre finish, hence it gives perfect moisture for winter.
• Imparts soft sheen.
• Back 2 Mac policy applies. 😛
• Smells vanilla.

Cons of Mac Lustre Lipstick Touch:

• Expensive, but worth.
• Transfers to cups/mugs.

IMBB Rating:

4.5/5 (0.5 deducted for all the not-so-important cons)

Will I repurchase Mac Touch Lipstick?

I will, DEFINITELY repurchase and recommend you all to try this.

On a different note altogether attaching one picture of a diffuser gifted to my husband on Bhai Dooj. We loved the concept and the sandalwood smell. Thought of sharing with you all, might keep the Diwali spirits high.

Nice MLBB lipstick, Rashmita. 🙂 This reminds me a bit of Creme in your Coffee, though that one seems lighter.

Rashmita November 19, 2012 at 2:13 pm

Thanks Ida, I personally felt creme in your coffee had more pink than brown in it, not too sure though, have to check, thats next in my list 🙂
