Happy new year to all!!! May this new year brings a lot more new dreams and all the more strength to make them come true! I know it’s a tad bit late for new year wishes but then I was inactive for a month.
So my first review of the year is dedicated to organix cherry blossom ginseng shampoo. I have become a sucker for this shampoo brand and thanks to imbb for that! Not a single negative review for the variants of this brand… that totally signifies its efficacy! Let’s find out how did this candy scented shampoo fared on my oily scalp and limp hair.
Product Description: This sensual and alluring blend of cherry blossom extracts and Asian ginseng root helps rejuvenate the scalp and hair follicle to add volume at root while nourishing your hair with replenishing rice milk and bamboo extract for hydration and shine.
Price: INR 625 for 385ml
My take on Organix Rejuvenating Cherry Blossom Ginseng Shampoo:
Rice milk, bamboo extract, ginseng, cherry blossom, sulfate free…… sounds intresting no? Such an eye catcher that was while online shopping! And when I read ‘volume at root’ I instantly added this lilac beauty in my cart with a hope that it would save the maniac in me from shampooing my hairs everyday! And well it did work wonderfully on my oily scalp, atleast in winters. To elaborate, I would say if I’m only shuttling between home and work, I can go on without washing my hair for 2 days with this one. And that’s a big thing because my scalp starts secreting oils within 10-12 hours of washing. Though I don’t suffer from hairfall much, but some strands here and there are normal. But with this darling, not a single hairfall! Its leaves my hair silky and its natural self, adding a nice bounce on the day of wash.
The bottle is cute lilac in colour with copper flip open cap. The shampoo is gel based, thick in consistency and almost transparent with the slightest hint of pink in it. The fragrance is so tempting! It reminds me of those strawberry flavoured heart shaped candies. I totally love them. But sadly it doesn’t last long, like for an hour or two and that too very faintly. Also since its sulphate free, it doesn’t lather much due to which I used more than required initially.
Pros of Organix Rejuvenating Cherry Blossom Ginseng Shampoo:
• Sulphate free surfactants
• Eco-friendly bottle
• Not tested on animals
• A fair deal of amount for that price
• Bouncy hairs on the day of wash
• Absolutely no hairfall
• Doesn’t dry out ends
• Imparts shine even if conditioner isn’t used
• Heavenly sweet fragrance
Cons of Organix Rejuvenating Cherry Blossom Ginseng Shampoo:
• The fragrance doesn’t last long.
• Since it doesn’t lather much, you may end up using more than required amount of product.
• Thick consistency (but you can always dilute it to avoid wastage)
• Not a great buy for dry hairs, specially in winters!
Do I recommend it? Yes, to the oily scalp beauties. It’s a great buy and such a relief in winters. 2-3 days without shampoo and at times you can even skip your conditioner boon that is!
Will I buy it again? Definitely! It’s already more-than-half used up and this time I’m ordering the conditioner as well as the masque from this range.
Rating: 4.5/5 (I wish the fragrance lasted at least for a day!)
