Patanjali Kesh Kanti Shikakai Hair Cleanser Review

Hello everyone,
I recently did a mini haul at a nearby Patanjali store and I gladly returned with bunch full of hair care products from the store. Today, I will review the Patanjali Kesh Kanti Shikakai hair cleanser. Scroll down to check out its performance.

Patanjali keshkanti shikakai hair cleanser (2)

Price: 95 INR for 200 ml

Ingredients:

Patanjali keshkanti shikakai hair cleanser (3)

Product description: Useful in dryness and roughness of hair, prevents hair fall, improves hair glow.

My take on Patanjali Kesh Kanti Shikakai Hair Cleanser:

Packaging: The shampoo comes in a simple white bottle with maroon flip-cap. I am impressed that Patanjali has improved the packaging, overall the bottle looks good. The flip cap is tight but I cannot assure that it is travel-friendly.

Consistency and smell: The shampoo is honey-colored and has thick gel type consistency. The smell is very herbal something similar to Ayurvedic syrups I guess!

Results: I had used Patanjali anti-dandruff shampoo long-long time ago, I was not at all impressed with it as it made my hair dry. This time I carefully picked this one for my hair type (medium oily scalp with dry ends).

This shampoo lathers pretty well and cleases oil easily, however for heavily oiled hair one might require 2 washes. The shampoo did not dry my hair and sigh! I was so happy about it. After using this shampoo, my scalp felt clean and fresh, my hair become smooth and revealed natural shine. Also, my hair felt tangle free and smooth. I could see little reduction in hairfall but not a major or drastic change. Overall, the shampoo has improved the look and feel of my hair. But, I am really unhappy with the fact that the shampoo contains silicones and is prepared with surfactant base. Plus, the next day, I could feel my hair tips were getting a bit dry, which was really making me uneasy!

Pros of Patanjali Kesh Kanti Shikakai Hair Cleanser:

• Affordable
• Easily available
• Little amount is required for each use
• Doesn’t dry out hair
• Contains herbal extracts

Cons of Patanjali Kesh Kanti Shikakai Hair Cleanser:

• Contains silicones and sulfates

IMBB rating: 3 out of 5

Will I recommend or repurchase Patanjali Keshkanti Shikakai Hair Cleanser?
I will highly recommend this shampoo for oily scalp type as it is very effective cleanser that would not leave hair dry post-usage. Well, I might not buy this again as the fact that this shampoo contains silicones and sulfates is really upsetting.

Conclusion: Patanjali Kesh Kanti Shikakai Hair Cleanser, is an average shampoo that effectively cleanses scalp without leaving it dry or rough. It does help in controlling hairfall and roughness of hair.

I think this would be apt for the summer months! Would be trying this as soon as my current shampoo gets over 🙂

I have tried this shampoo, it works like a charm! But I don’t like It’s smell that’s why I stopped using it. Your should try Milk Protein one from Patanjali it smells great and makes my hairs soft

nice review.. i was planning to buy this one.

but i still suggest you to give a try to patanjali reetha shampoo. it does not dry out hairs and required less amount. gives shiny tangle free hairs.

the reason pantanjali anti dandruff shampoo gave u bad hairs is..it contains high amount of tea tree oil. which is good for dandruff, but makes hairs brittle and frizzy if kept for more that 20- 30 mins.

thanks.
