Revayur Tinted Lip Balm in Green Apple Review

Hi Everyone!

Today, I will be reviewing Revayur fruity lip balm in Green Apple.  Revayur lip balm has already been reviewed in various other shades at IMBB and after reading all the reviews, I really wanted to try a lip balm from Revayur. I had finished my Lipice lip balms and when I was looking for a lip balm, I thought I should try a balm from Revayur. Green Apple was the only variant which was available, so I ordered it.

Green Apple Lip Balm 1

My Experience with Revayur Tinted Lip Balm in Green Apple:

This lip balm comes in a very cute, steel, green colored, rectangular packaging. This cute packaging was one of the main reasons because of which I wanted this lip balm. The upper lid has to be slid over the lower one in order to open the balm.  The upper lid can be removed as well and can be slid on either side which is helpful after finishing one side of the balm. We need to dip our fingers in order to pick the balm from the tub.  I totally agree it is unhygienic, but sometimes, it feels good to apply lip balm with fingers especially when I need to apply balm in college.

Green Apple Lip Balm 2

Though the green color of this balm freaked me out (imagine my lips to be all green :-P), I am glad it is non tinted. As soon as I touch it, I can feel how soft and moisturizing it is.  When I apply it on the lips, it spreads very evenly and smoothly on my lips and as claimed, it gives a wet, shiny look to my lips. It does not have any weird taste or smell.

Green Apple Lip Balm 3

This lip balm seems quite moisturizing for 1-2 hours but I have noticed it doesn’t heal my chapped lips. The moisturising power doesn’t stay for long. I feel the need to apply it every 1-2 hours to moisturize my lips. The quantity required for applying it all over my lips is also more. I need to dip my fingers at least twice in the pan for a single use. You can very well imagine by the number of times and by the quantity required, how quickly I will finish this. In fact in 3-4 days, I can see deep pits on both the sides of the lip balm. So, by no chance, it will last me even a month.

My lips do feel intensely moisturized for about 1-2 hours but if don’t reapply it for 4-5 hours, my lips turn extremely dry which doesn’t happen with my lips when I use any other balm.

Pros of Revayur Tinted Lip Balm in Green Apple:

  • Packaging is extremely cute and handy.
  • Spreads smoothly and evenly on my lips.
  • My lips feel intensely moisturized for about an hour after applying it.
  • It doesn’t have any weird taste or smell.
  • Quite affordable.

Cons of Revayur Tinted Lip Balm in Green Apple:

  • Needs to be reapplied every 1-2 hours.
  • Lips feel very dry if I don’t reapply it for 4-5 hours.
  • Finishes quite soon.
  • Quantity required and the number of times I need to reapply it is much more than other lip balms.
  • Unhygienic.

IMBB Rating:

2.75/5

Will I Repurchase Revayur Tinted Lip Balm in Green Apple?

No, I won’t recommend this lip balm at all. Though there are some pros, I can’t use a balm which needs to be reapplied so frequently. I have read positive reviews about other variants, so you may try those, but you should skip this.
