Street wear FX Eye Shadows- Swatches and Review
While going through the counters of my club shop.. I stumbled upon something I was not expecting to see I’m talking about tiny pans of eye shadows..
I have newly developed an interest in makeup thanks to IMBB, 
so when I spotted these cute babies I couldn’t help but pick them up!
[I’m cheap. My father has to pay the club shop bills and I take advantage.:( ]
So anyway..(since I dint have to part with my pocket money) I picked them up in 3 shades..

I remember seeing these Street Wear eye shadows 5-6 years back for somewhere around INR 50. I figured they wont be very expensive..

These come in these really cute swivel cases.
The first one is called Bombshell
Bombshell
This is a true bronze with some shimmer. This is the most pigmented out of the 3. (1NR 99)

The second one is called OH MY! (INR 89)
This one is a jazzy grey-silver colour.

Its very very glittery!
The third one is called CUTEY PETUTTI (INR 99)

These are cream based shadows.. and their texture is pretty decent.
Pros
- Very cute packaging (swivel, and stack one on top of the other).
- Apparently, these come in more shades but these are all I saw…
- Decently priced.
- Easy to blend- very soft.
Cons
- The colour pay off is zero, except for the bronze.
- It is glitter in different colours.
- Its spreads around everywhere!!
- The “cute packaging” gets loose.. I don’t like the thought of them dangling around uncovered.
- It creases like crazy!
- They should’ve launched more colours in India. I would have definitely bought an apple green colour I heard so much about.
- They shouldn’t have increased the price almost 2x when their quality was not worked upon.
- Terrible staying power. You can create *2 minute* hot looks! What is the point?
- Of what I hear they are not made anymore. (so what are we getting here?! :|)

Will I recommend this to anyone? Wilbur Swaami.
Will I ever buy this again? No. but if I find the apple green.. I will!!
I have heard really good reviews about this product and honestly, it comes cheap so compromising on some aspects is obvious.. but I expected more and think it is overrated.

Hey Ikky, I had got this one for Rs. 40 around 5 years back I think…they were so damn cheap, but these are the only things I liked from the streetwwear range…BTW, from which club house did you get these??????

Yup..most sensible thing to do. Apart from the CSD/MH reasons, it was a bit of a shock for me to live outside of the army kind of life. Am not really the typical army kid, but I am used to certain things..we take them for granted na..and to suddenly discover that things work differently is a bit unpleasant.

do anything Priya…but don’t apply that Sheer all over your face….I am scared thinking how that would work out on your face…BTW, have you seen on TV how some girls have shiny shoulder bones and arms….i think they use this sheer on these parts…..DON’T USE IT ALL OVER YOUR FACE…..

You are most welcome. If you want a dewy look and have a dry skin or a combi skin, please try Ponds Tinted Moisturiser. It gives a subtle coverage as well as a healthy glow to the face.
You may also try The Body Shop glow enhancer+ a good foundation(I use Max Factor Age Renew) for a glowy look too.
These are really cheap so cant expect much from the quality also na!! these are good for kids to playaround with maybe

Veena – I think you shouldn’t buy these eyeshadows…but one eyeshadow…a good neutral brownish one if you want to be safe…and get comfortable with those first.
i think you should go for the Jazzy silver and create a hot smokey eye look!!! go for it!!! you can do it with some revlon/ lakme liners.. they wont smudge and might make these stay!!
i’m going to do this as soon as i exchange the silver for a fresh piece!! :D(this one was expired)

Can anyone please suggest me a good foundation that I can use in my wedding makeup. Something which is smooth on skin & shows off really well in photographs. I have access to all the major brands available in Kolkata. I would also like to know about good concealers. Please help. Am really confused & tensed………

I guess the ladies over here would be more than happy to help you in selecting the foundation concealer etc. Why don’t you give a simple explanation of your skin type,complexion and also what kind of coverage you are looking for.
There are plenty of options available in foundation
1) Maxfactor Age Renew for an economical foundation which is matte, non cakey, buildable coverage. It is ideal for oily skin and you can choose the shade.
2) MAC Studio Fix Liquid Foundation for a slightly high end version, which is again a pretty good one.
Why I suggested these two are because I have combi-oily skin and have found them useful.
Do write in your skin type etc and you’ll get lotsa reccos :-)

Hi Debasree…I read somewhere that ideally for wedding photos you should use foundations without SPF – would be better so you don’t get a whitish cast. I wish I could give you suggestions on this, but I am almost illiterate as far as makeup is concerned. But don’t worry, there will be loads of suggestions from ppl here…so dont get tensed up. Its your wedding…try to relax and enjoy the time before that shopping

I have two of these shadows in Bombshell and Spice girl (metallic purple).. got them at Rs 60 2 years back.Both of em had worked well for me then.
Purple one is too dramatic to be used nemore.Guess I can play around with the bronze 1 a bit for the 2 min hot look thingi!!

It did stay.I used a fairness cream as a base and then applied either of the shadows over it.Both lasted for 2-3 hrs …Maybe I was lucky enuf to pick the well pigmented shades among the lot :-)) ..

Mine is half used else would have send it to u!! Spice girl is 1 of one of the few well pigmented shadows from that brand.I’d also like to try the apple green color(Will be looking for it)..Maybe v can share it and spread greenery :-D all around!!!

hey i have the green one!!got it last year..its mainly glittery but i used it more as a eyeliner with a brush on my upper lashes..the stay time was okk..actually back then i was a total makeup illiterate but i needed a green one for a wedding..this was the first one i laid my eyes upon at a store so got it.

i did check these out a long while ago but streetwear has never appealed to me. got maybelline quads instead. somehow i don’t like the shade selection of drugstore eyeshadow singles. and you’re right, these do look like coloured glitter! however i like the consistency and creaminess of these eyeshadows!
yes you are right.. but i never tried cream shadows so i really just picked them up because of that!.. i should’ve got the revlon quad when it was in the club shop! damn! :-?

There are some good shades in Maybelline Vivid Studio liners Veena..They are very soft and blendable too..You may try them first as a good base
but they test on animals.

Those look very much like the Maybelline Mousse e/s, in swatches and color I mean. And yeah, they mostly grab the glitters, but they’re nice for just a simple glow on your eyes, no?

I have used Lakme Face Sheer. But it is just some shimmer particles and nothing else. It cant be even used as blusher, leave alone an all over sheer.

This Lakme thingie na..its like a blush/bronzer na…just swipe on your cheek bone area or anywhere you want the light to reflect. Do you want an all over face shine or just here and there? You could try Max Factor Liquid Illusion Foundation if you want an all over brighter look…it has a bit of an illuminating effect. Jomol the one you saw must have been a bronzie gold one..I have Dessert Rose..and its damn good – just gives a bit of a shine thats it. I won’t use anything from the TBS Vitamin E range cos its not suitable for acne prone hoomans like me
What else can you use for a shine…heyy how is that Revlon Illuminating something something..Rati has done a review on it. Just swipe where you need some shine…that I am not sure if its good for oilier skins though.
you cud even try ponds age miracle cream….it has these very tiny illuminating particles which give a nice glow to the face…I use it daily and it has SPF so u dont need to use a sunscreen…
Ponds Tinted Moisturizer…worked for Poornima..not for my mom…if you find a tester naa…try it on your face for a while before buying it.

I generally do a Tinted Moisturiser+ eye liner(subtle colours for day/office wear)+sheer blush and a lippie for work or official meetings.
A slightly heavier foundation(Max Factor age renew)+good eye makeup(eye shadow+liner+mascara)+blush+lipstick etc for an evening out or dinner etc
