Street Wear Crystal Shine Face Brightener
Everytime I visit MG Road (in Pune), I can’t help but pay a visit to Dorabjee’s top floor, which is the Cosmetics’ Floor. So last weekend too, I paid a visit to the store keeping in mind to purchase Revlon’s SkinLights Face Illuminator, but when I approached the Revlon counter, the SA asked me to check out this new face brightener from Street Wear (inexpensive younger cousin of Revlon), which was also a skin brightener. Needless to say, I bought it and brought it home with me! LOL!
So my today’s review is about Street Wear Crystal Shine Face Brightener, which I have tried out a couple of times.
What the product claims:
An oil free face brightener that instantly boosts skin’s radiance with it’s light reflecting crystals.
Well, my personal experience hasn’t really been very far from the product’s claim and it has fared satisfactorily well.
It gives medium coverage and does impart a sheen to the skin. Though it’s Revlon counterpart gives a healthy glow, this gives only a shine. That’s not really a bad thing 😛 but when you are used to a better product then it’s really difficult to go back on quality 😛
One awesome feature of this product is that it neither makes my skin feel dry and neither does it make my face oily! Its just perfect and makes my skin feel really comfortable! This is a huge plus for me as I am a bit particular bout my skin 🙂
StreetWear’s Crystal Shine Face Brightener comes in a mauve-pinkish colored tube with a pump top, which has a transparent cap on it. The overall look is a bit inexpensive types (I wont call it cheap!!) as compared to the sophisticated packaging of it’s more expensive cousin! LOL! The biggest drawback of the packaging is that the tube cannot be unscrewed. Whatever product you need has to be only pumped out!
Next comes the pump. The pump top of the tube is actually very helpful in regulating the amount of product you need. This makes it extremely economical.
Just 22ml of the product costed me Rs.360/-. Dunno if I should call it expensive or reasonable 😛
Now I come to the fragrance part of my review 🙂 This product is highly fragranced and no it is nowhere close to a headache inducing smell… It smells heavenly. It actually smells exactly like the Revlon counterpart.
I honestly think that this product is a exact though cheaper replica of the Revlon SkinLights Skin Brightener…
Now let me just summarize its PROs and CONs
Pross of Street Wear Crystal Shine Face Brightener
- Gives medium coverage
- On application, the face does look fresh and glossy
- Love the fragrance
- The pump cap helps in regulating product usage
- Comes in a number of shades that help match any Indian Skin Tone
- A cheaper Dupe of Revlon SkinLights Skin Illuminator
CONs of StreetWear Crystal Shine Face Brightener
- Doesn’t give a healthy glow just a sheen
- The packaging looks very cheap! There I said it.
- The tube cannot be unscrewed and hence you have no idea of how much product is still left!
Here is a before and after pic for you guys to make a judgement 😛
