The Body Shop Atlas Mountain Rose Body Lotion Review

Hi,

I will be reviewing The Body Shop Atlas Mountain Rose Body Lotion today.  I have already reviewed the shower gel and this is another product I picked up at The Body Shop in Malaysia. Since I always layer fragrances, I bought both from the same fragrance line and also because of the price, I picked up the travel size. The Atlas Mountain Rose tester impressed me because it dried on to give a sophisticated, refreshing rose fragrance. I did not buy the EDT nor the body mist, even though I would have liked to. This is because I already have quite a few some body mists on hand and didn’t want to buy more.

Product Description and Claims:

Escape to the valley of roses. A skin-softening body lotion infused with Atlas Mountain Rose. This bright, dewy blend of floral accords was inspired by dawn in a field of blossoming roses.

Directions For Use:

Massage all over body after bathing or showering, and allow to sink in.

My Experience with The Body Shop Atlas Mountain Rose Body Lotion:

This body lotion comes in a cute little bottle (travel size) with a really cute label which is typical for the whole “Atlas Mountain Rose” collection. The bottle comes in a flip top cap like all Body Shop lotions.  The lotion is white in colour and is quite thin, it is almost like body milk. As soon as I took some lotion on to my palm, I felt it was quite runny.  As I mentioned before in my shower gel review, the “Scents of the World” shower gel and the lotion are quite thin in consistency than other lines from the Body Shop.

After applying the lotion, I felt it provided just enough moisture for my normal skin. Since it is spring time now, my skin is not dry any more.  This lotion provided enough moisture for a day and skin was lightly scented. The scent is a mix of floral, musk as well as citrus notes.  Even though the initial sniff gave only the floral fragrance, it dried down to give a fruity plus amber fragrance. The rose scent is also powdery rather than sweet which I like. This is apt for all age groups, but more for the younger age group.

Pros of The Body Shop Atlas Mountain Rose Body Lotion:

  • The lotion smells really fresh, floral and powdery.
  • Contains excellent moisturizing agents – brazil nut oil from Peru and Shea butter from Ghana.
  • The collection is available as shower gel, EDT, perfume oil as well as mists for layering.
  • The lotion is thin and runny and spreads easily- is good for summer and for hot and humid climates.

Cons of The Body Shop Atlas Mountain Rose Body Lotion:

  • Not suitable for winter.
  • Cannot be used by ladies with dry skin.

IMBB Rating:

3.5/5
