I know, I have been slacking slightly in the review department lately and I solely blame my educational commitments for it. I am back however, with another product review. This is from Aveda and it is designed to target and help with blemishes. *Sigh*, we all are victims of those nasty blemishes at some point in our lives and I don’t know about you, but I have always been on the hunt for a great product that will just be the answers to all of my anti-blemish prayers. So, read on to find on if this was effective or not.

My Experience with Aveda Outer Peace Blemish Spot Relief:
This little tube has a very clean packaging, it is a white coloured tube, with sea-blue coloured hues used for all the writings on the tube. It comes with a screw cap, and you would need to squeeze the tube to use the product. Usually, products of similar properties and that deal with curing blemishes and acne are packaged identically. The good thing about this sort of packaging is that, I wouldn’t directly touch the tube and therefore wouldn’t infect it. However, while applying the product, it is imperative to use super clean hands. Otherwise, you are just going to make your acne worse.
The product is white in colour and is like a cream, however, a very lightweight one. I know what you all must be thinking, how in the world, will a cream help with drying out acne? Won’t it just aggravate the acne? I too thought of this, however, the lightweight texture of the cream does not pose any unwanted issues and you are safe. Wohooo! As for the smell, the cream has a sort of botanical fragrance, something that is very similar in all Aveda products. So that was not a surprise. I am not a big fan of the fragrance, to be honest; however, it is bearable. I usually apply this at night, when I have a pesky pimple wandering on my face, so I don’t really get bothered by the fragrance.
The product does really well in subsiding the pimple actually, it zaps away the redness totally by the morning and does actually give you a feeling of relief post application. I used to actually make use of this crazy amounts and practically live on it, when I had endured really bad teenage acne. And I kid you not, I would literally finish up several tubes in matters of 2-3 weeks, so in practicality, I would be using a tube a week. Yeah, I went slightly overboard. You don’t have to do that, don’t worry! A small amount of product is all you need with this and you shall be fine. You do need to apply it 2-3 times for the pimple to completely vanish, so whoever is expecting over night wonders, calm down, it ain’t happening!
Pros of Aveda Outer Peace Blemish Spot Relief:
- An extremely lightweight product.
- Does not feel uncomfortable on the face.
- Reduces redness dramatically.
- Easy to wash off, post application.
Cons of Aveda Outer Peace Blemish Spot Relief:
- The fragrance is not that great.
- Availability might be an issue.
