My Experience with Band Aid Friction Block Stick:

As I have mentioned above, till now, if I had a choice between a stylish pair of shoes and a comfy one, I would go with comfy.  I have had my fair shade of feet blisters from new pair of shoes to shy away from the discomfort and pain. Hence I knew I had to get this product the moment I read about its claims.

Band Aid Friction Block Stick

Packaging:

This product comes in a very convenient twist up tube with a very secure cap. The product is small in size and will probably not last you a long time if you use it regularly, but considering the cheap price, I think repurchasing is not a big deal. It can easily slip in your purse if you would like to keep it close for reapplication when needed, but keep in mind to not leave it in the hot car on a summer day as this product is sure to melt.

Band Aid Friction Block Stick

Application:

The application of this is so simple and effective.  Simply rub over the areas which tend to rub most in your new shoes. For me, it is usually the side of my toes and back of my heels. The product melts and creates a slippery layer on the skin which is what works at reducing friction. It is definitely less slippery in nature than Vaseline, but still slippery enough that you can feel it reducing friction while walking. It has a consistency and look of a slightly slippery deodorant. It applies completely clear.

Band Aid Friction Block Stick

By using this product, my new shoes have never felt more comfortable. I would say it reduced me getting blisters by up to 90%.  I would still get some of them, but that can be avoided if I take care to reapply this product every 4-5 hours so that it doesn’t get completely rubbed off. It doesn’t leave a messy residue on skin or in your shoes. This product is so versatile that if can used by both men and women.

Band Aid Friction Block Stick

Fragrance:

It has a very sweet fruity scent which is not too strong and of course you cannot smell it once it’s on your feet.  Overall, I absolutely love this product and will probably never do without it. Time for me to go on a shopping spree for new shoes!

Pros of Band Aid Friction Block Stick:

  • Affordable.
  • Travel-friendly tube will fit easily in any purse.
  • Less slippery than Vaseline yet very effective in reducing friction.
  • Easy to apply.
  • Applies clear and does not stain.
  • Reduced blisters by 90%
  • Reapplication is required every 4-5 hours to maintain effectiveness.
  • Sweet fruity scent.

Cons of Band Aid Friction Block Stick:

  • Very small size which is bound to get over really quick.
