Banjara’s Neem Fairness Cream Review

Hey IMBBians!

This is my first post here and this review is about Banjara’s Neem Fairness cream. Please read on to know more about my experience with this product. I went home recently and my mom was less than thrilled when she looked at my skin condition-dry with rough patches and uneven tan. I was not following my CTM routine religiously, and coupled with excessive use of makeup, it had finally led me to this state. I have dry skin and in winters I tend to get reddish flaky areas around my nose and lips. No amount of concealers could help me hide this flaw. My mom was using this cream for her face and she asked me to use this around my nose area. I must mention that she is very fair, and she likes to use a basic day cream while going out, so she picks up any cream from the market for this purpose.

What this product claims to do:

Neem Fairness Cream is a unique combination of herbs that promote a healthy and de-pigmented skin. Removes black spots and pimples scars on the face, thus promoting anti-pigmentation properties in the skin. Its primary constituents are Neem Oil enriched with Turmeric extract, which together help clear skin of acne and prevent future outbreaks of pimples.

My Experience with Banjara’s Neem Fairness Cream:

As suggested by my mom, I applied a little cream around my nose area, twice a day after washing my face. Two days, and bam! The area was smooth and all the flakiness had disappeared! I was pleasantly surprised by these instantaneous results and ran to the store to buy one for myself! I usually don’t care about day lotions or creams, because I only use them for moisturizing. However, I was surprised by the effects of this seemingly-innocent cream. Since then, I have been using this cream religiously before going out and I must say, it has done quite a lot to my facial skin- my complexion is almost flawless, supple and my skin never feels dry (even during this harsh winter). All this in just one month of usage! Awesome right?

The texture of this cream is soft and light. It’s not oily and it is easily absorbed after you rub it in lightly. It moisturizes effectively and this effect stays throughout the day. It has a very faint smell, though nothing overpowering. I would recommend this for people with oily skin too, since it does not feel greasy or heavy on skin. About the fairness claim, it does impart a glow to the skin and keeps the tone even. Honestly, I was only concerned about the anti-pigmentation part, which, true to its claim, worked! Nothing fancy about the packaging. It’s a normal plastic tub with a foil cover under the lid, but don’t let the ordinary appearance fool you!

For application tips, I would suggest using this as a day cream, under your sunscreen (since this cream does not have SPF) or under your foundation. Regular usage (Once or twice everyday) is required to obtain desired results.

Pros of Banjara’s Neem Fairness Cream:

  • Heals dry, rough patches on the skin and evens out the complexion.
  • It did not break me out.
  • Moisturizes and leaves the skin supple and soft.
  • Works really fast, you’ll see results in less than a week.
  • Suitable for all skin types.
  • Imparts a healthy glow to the skin and doesn’t leave a whitish cast.
  • Cheap and available in supermarkets and online websites.

Cons of Banjara’s Neem Fairness cream:

  • Does not have SPF.
  • Not a tinted moisturizer (can be coupled with a foundation though).
  • Some might not like the tub packaging because of hygiene reasons but that’s trivial.

IMBB Rating :

5/5 (Yayy!)

Would I repurchase Banjara’s Neem Fairness cream?

Yes! And I would recommend everyone to try it for themselves!

Shruti ur hand swatches clearly tells the story..very nice

Shruti November 30, 2012 at 3:51 pm

Actually, that was just intended to show that theres no whitish cast left by the cream. By fluke, the 2nd pic came in better lighting, and so it seems like theres an instant glow! However, this does not happen so fast! 🙂 Takes time 🙂
