How have you all been? Summers are giving me a hard time with the temperatures soaring higher each day! The heat is way too unbearable over here and it feels like I am sitting inside an oven at noon hours! Coming to today’s review, it is a face cream from Banjara’s. I have been trying out products from this brand lately and I am totally loving it. Let’s see how this one fared.

My Experience with Banjara’s Saffron Fairness Cream:
The fairness cream comes in a white and maroon color combination tube. The tube is housed inside a carton that is pretty satisfying. There are pictures of saffron on the pack that looks alluring. It is very convenient for usage and also to carry around. The fairness cream is almost white in color, it feels light-weight and non-sticky on skin. It gets absorbed very easily in no time.
The cream claims to prevent melanin to reach higher layers, thus maintaining skin fairness. I really don’t know how that works. It also claims to make wrinkles disappear with regular use, I may have to make my mom try this to comment on that! 😀 I have been using this for two weeks now, and I haven’t noticed any lightening of spots, as of now. With prolonged usage, results may be seen, I suppose. I have noticed that it imparts a glow post application and it feels very light.
The fragrance is not too mild, it smells like very cosmetic-y and is not at all mild. It does not linger for long and fades after sometime, so no issues with that. It does not make me sweat and it keeps my skin sweat free for a certain amount of time. I so wish it came with an SPF included, considering the hot sun nowadays. It does say it protects the skin from UVA/UVB, but I did not find it satisfying enough to wear it under the sun.
Coming to the fairness part, I really haven’t noticed any such results so far. I haven’t found a ‘miracle’ cream till date that actually works for fairness (removing tan and giving an even skin tone, in my case). I do not have even pigmentation on my face and this cream hasn’t helped me. I am hoping that by the end of this tube, I may get to see some satisfactory results. On the whole it is a good cream and I mainly use this at night considering it does not have an SPF factor included, though there is a mention about protection from UV.
Pros of Banjara’s Saffron Fairness Cream:
• Convenient packaging.
• Very decently priced.
• Feels light-weight on skin.
• It gets absorbed easily.
• It induces a glow to the skin post application, that is momentary.
• It does not make my skin sweat.
• Herbal product.
• Did not break me out, as it is water based.
• Fragrance does not linger for long.
• Contains saffron extracts that is known for skin lightening effects.
Cons of Banjara’s Saffron Fairness Cream:
• Only key ingredients are mentioned which is completely unfair for a herbal product!
• Haven’t noticed any spot lightening effects, yet.
• Does not seem to have any sun protection factor.
• Hasn’t made my skin tone even.
• Wonder if the fairness part is completely true or not!
Would I Repurchase/Recommend Banjara’s Saffron Fairness Cream?
I’d recommend this to people who are on the search for a decent moisturizing cream that is affordable and is made of herbal formulations. No high expectations with this one, though. With continuous use, over a period of time, the claims may be met, I suppose. It’s worth the shot for it wouldn’t hurt the pocket.
