They have a few more palettes, a similar one with primer, called natural glow shadow and primer palette 2, then a smokey eyes palette and a popping bright color palette too.We know what is this trying to look like, don’t we? But I quite liked the way it looked in Boots, and the shades were all very nice, day wear. I am quite keen on this brand, it is mainly famous for the nail colors they have.
The palette comes in a cardboard box, it has a magnetic closure to it. there are two soft spongy applicators in there. The palette has 6 eyeshadows and one blusher. The palette honestly is a strange combo of a blush and eyeshadows, I have never seen many such products. They could have thrown in a base or a eyeliner with the shadows.
Let me start with the blusher, it is not really a blush, it looks like a highlight in all aspects. The pigmentation and texture on this highlighter is awful. It has no color to it at all, no smoothness and it does not show up on the face at all!So this get a 1/5 for me, I use it to highlight the bridge of my nose.
Coming to the shades in the palette – the shadows are quite nice for day wear. All the colors are to my liking, hence I bought this – obviously. The first three colors are matte, well almost. They feel poorly pigmented and slightly chalky. The first color from the left is a lilac pink with a slight sheen to it, very natural for lighter skin tones, but for me it does nothing.
The second color is a highlighter color, to be used under the brows, but the color is soft and slightly chalky, nothing impressive. I use it to clean up under brows after I fill my brows.
The third matte brown is almost my crease color, it is a nice transition color for me, for all shadow colors, being matte it really works for my crease. It is not very nicely pigmented though. The staying power is very average for these three colors.
The fourth color is a metallic shimmey khaki, not a very intense shade but feels very smooth and soft. The color shows up nicely and unbelievably, it lasts on me 5 hours without a primer, as a lid color.
The fifth color is my favorite, it is a pearly gold and looks very flattering for my skin tone and all warm skin tones. There is no chunky shimmer but it is a pearly finish. It shows up very nicely, and you could use a brown or black in the crease with it.It lasted on me for 6 long hours before creasing, on the lids, without a primer.
The last is a great taupy brown shimmery metallic shade for all skin tones, and I wear it in the crease. The pigmentation and staying power of these last three non-matte colors is awesome.
Right to left swatches:
The palette has three duds, one neutral and three fantastic shades in there. The first three shades are nothing great. The last three on the right are fab colors with great lasting power. So I am on the fence about this palette. I think it is a nice travel-friendly palette with neutrals and deeper colors, but I am not in a position to recommend it as not all the colors are excellent!
