Bite Beauty Mimosa Luminous Crème Lipstick Review

I have never used Bite Beauty products before and was excited to try out my first buy from this brand. It is very pricey but SA in Sephora told me that lip products by this brand are totally worth it and perform well, hence I dove deep into my pockets and reluctantly purchased this pricey beauty.

My Experience with Bite Beauty Mimosa Luminous Crème Lipstick:

First thing first, let me state the obvious – yes, indeed price of the product is not easy on most of ours’ pocket and not like one gets generous quantity for the amount paid but it doesn’t kill to own select few statement products be a little decadent once in a while.

Packaging: Product comes in a matt, dark grey, plastic, twist up tube – usual packaging for most of the lipsticks. The stub has a pointy edge, however that is not the standard shape all the lipsticks. All the reds have sharp angled tips, all the neutrals have a slant tip, pinks have curved tips and berried have points – this feature is unique I am not sure if this would make a difference but it’s unique nevertheless.

Texture: it is very smooth to apply but not over the top buttery that it gets easily transferred or smudged on the slightest lip movement. It gives a cream finish hence is prone to transfer but not too much. The formula is very creamy and provides good moisture and hydration.

Color: the cult classic warm red with orange undertones – this type of red is more suited for warm skin tones and compliments Indian skin tones well.

Pigmentation: one thing we can expect from an expensive lip product is pigmentation – they are richly pigmented and can give even finish even to pigmented lips but he downside is that they stain lips and are bit difficult to remove.

Shimmer and shine: it has a creme finish and gives a semi matt finish but one can dab a little powder to get a full matt finish.

Fragrance: this product has sweet smell and reminds me of the orange candies some of us take to curb motion sickness – I know it’s a weird analogy but that’s what it precisely smells like.

Wear time: quite a while in an ideal situation but most of us talk and eat and drink in our daily life so obviously touch ups are needed, especially since it is a cream finish product.

Conclusion: this shade is a cult classic red and compliments most of us. It can be worn with both traditional attire and a night-out, clubbing dress. This product did bite my pocket hard but it never kills to pamper oneself once in a while.
