How are you doing today? I am here to share another lip product from my much-loved brand “Bite Beauty.” No wonder Bite Beauty is my all-time favorite brand, especially for lip makeup and lip care products though some products have disappointed, but then, nothing can stop me from coming back to the brand again and again. I am also a fan of their formulas which incorporates resveratrol and food grade colors in almost every lip care or makeup product that they come out with. Recently, I tried their Lush fruit lip gloss and loved its hydrating property, even though the finish and staying power was not that appealing. $22 for 0.11 Oz, excludes shipping and tax.
- Pure and nourishing strawberry, blackcurrant, raspberry, coconut, mango, apricot, and avocado oils: Fights free radicals that can cause aging of the lip lines.
- Trans-Resveratrol: Provides proven antioxidant benefits for long-term repair of the visible signs of aging.
What it is:
A highly-pigmented lip gloss featuring healthy fruit ingredients that are delicious enough to eat.
What it does:
Like instant nutrition for lips, Bite’s Lush Fruit Lip Gloss contains the same healthy ingredients you’d find in a pure fruit smoothie – real coconut, mango, and strawberry infused with seven nourishing fruit oils. Rich, vibrant, and juicy, this modern formula is highly pigmented. What you see in the container is exactly the color you’ll see on your lips.
My Experience with Bite Beauty Apple Lush Fruit Lip Gloss:
This gloss comes in a sophisticated cardboard packaging with a transparent tube gloss pack. Sadly, I am not a fan of its synthetic smell which is really weird this time. Overall, I quite like its travel friendly and user friendly packaging.
The shade “Apple” is described as a candy apple red which is true to its description as it comes as a glossy apple red on the lips with a creamy juicy sheen and no shimmer. I love its thick juicy texture which does not feel sticky on my lips and glides nicely on normal dry lips providing hydration and soft supple lip texture for decent hours. However, I am quite disappointed by its finish and pigmentation which comes up slightly uneven and patchy on my lips even after multiple swipes. The moment I apply it on the lips, it sinks into the lip lines and highlights the lip texture, thereby giving a weird finish which I dislike.
I won’t say that it highlights dry patches, but it somehow settles into the lip lines as it appears way too sheer on the lips. I mean it does not seem that intensely pigmented as it claims as I can see that it imparts a translucent sheer finish and hence it is not advised for pigmented lips. Though it is impressive to see how the thick gloss provides intense hydration and suppleness to my lips for quite a few hours even after taking the gloss off.
It does stay for 4-5 hours with light snacks and meals, thereafter fading off completely leaving no stain or sheen behind, just soft and supple lips. Yes gals, I was so impressed to see how soft and supple my lips felt after wearing it, but the finish is really tricky on bare lips.
Overall, I think you can skip this shade. As for me, I am looking forward to explore the other shades from this range hoping that they are not similar to this shade. In fact, I feel with such a finish and staying power, this product is really expensive.
Let’s sum up pros and cons:
Pros of Bite Beauty Apple Lush Fruit Lip Gloss:
- Moisturizing, non-sticky, juicy, sheer, candy red apple lip gloss infused with the goodness of resveratrol, mango/avocado/apricot oils.
- It is formulated without parabens, phthalates and sulfates.
- Does provide intense hydration and softness to my normal dry lips for quite a few hours even after fading off completely.
- Does not irritate or accentuate dry lips, in fact, it works very well on dry lips.
- Stays put for good 4-5 hours on lips.
- User friendly, travel-friendly packaging.
Cons of Bite Beauty Apple Lush Fruit Lip Gloss:
- The finish is real tricky as it comes up uneven and patchy even after multiple swipes on the lips.
- Certainly not suitable for pigmented lips.
- The fragrance is a bit turn off.
- Considering the finish and benefits, it seems a bit pricey.
Well, honestly, I don’t see any point of splurging money on this particular shade as it comes so sheer and uneven on the lips, though I am really keen to explore the other shades in this range just because of its skin friendly and intense hydrating formula. Sadly, I had to rate this particular gloss 3.5/5!
