I shall be talking about a scrub in today’s review. I got a lot of Boots stuff from Thailand as it was very reasonably priced and I had heard good reviews about this brand but somehow I am in love- hate relationship with its products. Read on further to find out how this scrub fared:

My take on Boots Skin Clear Blackhead Cleansing Scrub:

It comes in a white coloured sturdy plastic tube which has a flip top cap. The cap clicks shut tightly. The tube is small and hence can be carried while travelling. The hole beneath is right to expel the scrub. It is a white coloured cream with small blue coloured granules, the granules are really tiny but are present in abundant quantities. The consistency is also ok, I mean there is no problem in spreading it onto the face but like all scrubs I do mix in few drops of water before applying and scrubbing it on my face. The tiny granules are not at all abrasive, on the contrary I found them to be pretty mild. I wasn’t really expecting much from a mild scrub but when I washed my face, I was amazed to see the results. My skin was squeaky clean ( which it hasn’t felt in ages with all these drugstore face washes). My skin also felt softer but unfortunately it dint work as great on the blackheads. Even with continous usage, the stubborn blackheads refuse to go. Nevertheless, the clean and soft face was more than enough for the product to impress me. Also, it controlled the shine on my face for 3-4 hours. My existing zits also subsided to some extent. I have been using it every alternate day and I must say I am more than happy with the results.

1. Reasonably priced.
2. Makes skin squeaky clean.
3. Controls shine for 3-4 hours.
4. The existing zits subsided to some extent
5. Sturdy flip top tube which can be carried while travelling.

Cons of Boots Skin Clear Blackhead Cleansing Scrub:

1. Availability in India.
2. Works amazingly in all aspects but scrubbing ( I guess it was supposed to be a scrub only 😛 )
3. The tiny granules are too mild as a scrub.
4. Does not live upto all of its claims.

Will I repurchase/recommend Boots Skin Clear Blackhead Cleansing Scrub?

Yes , I strongly recommend it to oily skinned beauties and I am already thinking of ways to procure the same from outside…lol
