Make Up For Ever Brush Cleanser Review
Hello IMBB Readers!

Today, I’m going to review Make Up Forever Brush Cleanser. Since November 2012, I had been trying to get my hands on the so famous MAC Brush Cleanser, but all I got to hear at MAC stores (TGIP Noida and Saket) till February this year was that it’s out of stock and same story goes for Inglot Brush Cleanser. So, when I entered Sephora, I couldn’t help myself from buying this.
Price:

Rs. 1400/ 210 ml or 7.10 fl oz
Ingredients:
Aqua (water), Isopropyl Alcohol, Ethyl Acetate, Benzophenone-3, Steradimonium Hydroxpropyl Hydrolyzed Wheat Protein, Parfum (fragrance), Mentha Arvensis Oil (Mentha Arvensis Leaf Oil), Methylchloroisothiazolinone, Cl 47000 (Yellow 11), Cl 42090 (Blue 1).
Product Description:
The brush cleanser removes all impurities from brushes. It purifies, protects and strengthens the brush hair. Peppermint and red thyme essential oils with bacteriostatic properties are associated with an alcohol-based formula to deep clean and purify the brush hair. It also acts as a lotion, conditioning the brush hair and forming a protective film that leaves the brush feeling soft and supple. The cleanser dries very quickly, allowing you to use brushes immediately and do several make-up jobs in a row. Using this product helps give the brush a longer life.
How To Apply:
Thanks to the new pump spray, you can vaporize the Brush Cleanser directly on bristles. Advice: Moisten a cotton pad with the cleanser and wipe brush hair until it is totally clean. If the brushes are very dirty, let them soak in a container filled with the Brush Cleanser. Squeeze off the excess water and let dry flat. Formula: Peppermint and red thyme essential oils with bacteriostatic properties purifies the bristles. Hydrolyzed wheat proteins.
My Experience with Make Up For Ever Brush Cleanser:
The cleanser is green in colour, packed in a transparent bottle with a spray pump. It has a strong smell of peppermint, I guess that is to overpower the smell of alcohol. For immediate cleansing, I spray the cleanser one-two times on paper tissue and move the brush back and forth on it until it is clean enough to use.
But if the brush is very dirty, I need to dispense the cleanser in a container/bowl and then soak and stir the bristles to get rid of the makeup on it. Wipe off the excess liquid and lay the brush flat to dry. After deep cleansing, the brush dries up within 2-3 minutes. Even after deep cleansing, the white bristles of very dirty brushes are left with slight stains.
Pros of Make Up For Ever Brush Cleanser:
- Easy to use.
- Peppermint and red thyme oils deep clean and purify the bristles while a wheat protein-enriched lotion forms a protective film around each bristle.
- The residue removes from the bristles efficiently.
- Bristles dry up very quickly.
- Bristles feel smooth after cleaning.
- Sturdy packaging.
Cons of Make Up For Ever Brush Cleanser:
- Price is on the higher end.
- Even after deep cleaning, white bristles remain slightly stained.
- Not available at the local market.
- Few may find the smell too strong.
IMBB Rating:
4/5
Will I Repurchase Make Up For Ever Brush Cleanser?
I wish the bristles were white after deep cleansing, may be that is a lot to expect from a brush cleanser. Except the price, I don’t have any other complaint from this, but at this price, I would like to try other brush cleansers available in the market.
