This is my second exciting review and you see there is nobody happier than me ’cause I love writing reviews to products and my first has been well appreciated.

So I am gonna review Make Up Forever Smoky Lash Mascara

WEIGHT: 0.6 oz. / 16g

PRICE: 22$ ( I got it at 8 KD during my visit to Kuwait so it approximately 1400/- Indian rupees)

PRODUCT CLAIMS: Smoky Lash enhances lashes, for exceptional volume, infinite length and ultimate curl. Its formula is rich in ultra-fine mineral pigments to create the perfect smoky look: saturated lashes and smouldering eyes. Its ultra wide and dense new generation brush hold a maximum amount of product for instant spectacular lashes. Lash enhances lashes, for exceptional volume, infinite length and ultimate curl. HOW TO APPLY: For maximum volume, apply Smoky Lash above and below the lashes, evenly from left to right. To separate individual lashes, apply Smoky Lash from the roots to the tips. To increase volume and create a faux-lash effect, apply several coats of Smoky Lash.

AVAILABLE SHADES: 03- Brown, 01- Black, 04- Green, 05- Blue, 06- Plum

The shade I picked is 01- Black. The product has been true to its claims of being exceptionally flawless in providing the required volume, length and curl. It is not really necessary to use an eye lash curler. It definitely does the job of creating the smoky look, something that every woman wants a mascara to do. You need not apply and re-apply it a zillion times to make your lashes look volumized. It does the job in just 2 precise coats.

Sometimes flakes, only if a lot is applied, otherwise that doesn’t come under botheration. I have heard many people tell that the mascara clumps, but if used and applied properly it does not.

It’s a time saver, two swipes and you’re done! Just the right product if you are looking for the false and dramatic lash kind of look, but it may not look simple at any cost. Don’t worry, it doesn’t make you look inanimate anyways 😛 It is a lot sexier!

Very easy to wash as this is not waterproof. But don’t take it as a flaw, it still doesn’t smudge in humid weather or mess up your face if you shed a tear or two. But a lot of water-splashing, continuous sobbing at weddings or watching Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham every other day on Sony Max might show the undesirable side of the product. 😛
A lot of people who have or might be using this mascara might say that it dries up, and yes hear it from me too, it does, really. 🙁 For me, this is not a problem because I am always careful you see 😛 You guys should learn being responsible 😛 It’s high time now ladies! 😀 If Rati allows me to, I’ll write an article on ‘ How To Be As Responsible As Ravali’ and you guys will catch up, I know! 😛 😉

If you are looking to re-coat it then make sure you hasten with it ‘cause if it dries up it creates a bit of a mess and there are more chances of clumps being formed which is indeed a pain.

If you want a waterproof version of it then *Bling* you have it! 🙂 Aqua Smoky Lash it is called! I haven’t tried it out to tell you guys about it but I have seen the product claims and a few reviews and I learnt that it is the same as Smoky Lash but waterproof. 🙂
Well, so keeping my lame humor aside, the product drying out is indeed an issue but you got to be careful about that. It doesn’t dry out senselessly of course. Don’t keep it open for too long and it will definetly live its life! No worries pretty ladies 🙂 Bang me hard if you get this and it dries out ridiculously! ( That was just NOT serious 😛 )

So summing up ( Thank the heavens, without my humor :P)

PROS:

~ Lengthens, volumizes, curls and gives you the intense-eye lashes look and makes your lashes look longer and fuller.
~ Extra black, available in 5 lovely shades. I tried all of them at the store and they are all so adorable! ~ Easy to clean and does not smudge.
~ Long staying power. Apply it in the day, go on with your routine, come home, sleep, eat, open IMBB, eat, sleep 😛 and go to bed with the mascara still on and then wake up next day and go out without necessarily applying it again! (If you are not used to washing your face ONLY 😛 )
~ Quick and gives a lot of volume in just two precise applications.
~ Makes your eyes look bolder and most importantly if you have very short and sparse lashes this would be your dream product. It will do all the magic you want for your eyes.

CONS:

~ Oh baby! What so ever it still isn’t waterproof! No, I am not contradicting myself, but you can’t go out in the rain, you can’t watch all the Saas-bahu serials and sob-story movies, you cannot cry if your stockings rip out just after one use. Then why? :O ( So I did contradict my own statement 😛 )
~ Face it! It dries out. I am not gonna mention again about the article ( though I just did ) but you see be careful with it. 😀
~ The price! The price! Oh the price! L Don’t crib about the price and buy it ‘cause when you go home and you try it and some damn scene in your favourite serial makes you cry, then, you cry 1. For the price 2. Because the mascara is all over your face 3. Anybody who looks at you will be frightened to death because it is pitch black 4. ‘Cause you might be scared to look at your own face in the mirror 5. The serial scene 😛 ( I admit that is too much of exaggeration)

MY VERDICT:
If you get the perfect smoky eyes and a glossy pout on your lips with some naughty accessories and a short dress, this mascara would definetly make you look much sexier! And yeah ‘sexy’ that is the one word I would use to describe this mascara because not only is the product sexy, it also compliments your eyes and the total ‘YOU’ without any hesitation.

So all the beautiful women out there, do try this product. It is very promising and you will absolutely love it. Take my word for it. It is one of those dream-come-true mascaras! I honestly wanted a mascara just like it every time I had a smoky look on my eyes and now that I’ve found it, I feel so complete J
