MAC Brush Cleanser Review, Usage
Price Rs 600 for 235 ml
Ingredients: water, alcohol denat., sodium trideceth sulfate, disodium lauroamphodiacetate, hydrolyzed wheat protein, hexylene glycol, cetrimonium chloride, triclosan, isopropyl alcohol, blue 1, red 33.
My experience with MAC Brush Cleanser:
If I have to summarize this brush cleanser in just one word, it would be “AWESOME”
- MAC brush cleanser comes packaged in the regular black MAC box. It is a purple pink colour liquid packed in a transparent bottle. The bottle has a flip top opening.
- It cleanses the brushes like magic. My white brushes have never been so white.
- The brush cleanser increases the life of your brushes.
- A little goes a long way. I have been using the brush cleanser almost every day form past one month and not even one forth of the cleanser is used up.
- It smells a little alcoholic but that never bothered me.
- MAC brush cleanser also disinfects the bristles.
- Now I don’t have to bother about cleaning my brushes all the time. i just need 5 minutes of brush cleaning before starting my makeup. No matter how dirty my brush is, this works wonders on it.
- There is one problem I find with the MAC brush cleanser. Since since it’s liquidy, I tend to pour more product at times.
- Sometimes when the brush is very dirty, the cleanser doesn’t make the brush squeaky clean.
I must just inform you that you must still wash your brushes with a mild soap once or twice a week depending on the usage.
On bottle it says : Apply to damp brushes and work through.Reshape and lay flat to dry.
I don’t damp my brushes. Here is how I use.
Fold the tissue.
Pour MAC brush cleanser at two places.One spot for maximum cleaning. Other for the final cleaning.

Move the brush back and forth
Gently keep moving the brush until it is clean.
Reshape the bristles
And it’s clean. The brush would be a little damp. Lay it flat to dry.

Clean on the spot
And it’s clean. Geeeee 😛
That’s a sigma brush with lots of shimmer and glitter.
the maximum glitter and shimmer would come off
see how much pigment is on the tissue. Whatever glitter is lift and the brush would dust off once it dries.
Now let’s see a bigger brush. It’s a Sigma blush brush
i move this brush in only one direction.
And it’s clean. 😀
this si Sigma F 80. A little difficult to clean.
The cleanser has cleansed it maximum but still you can see a little stain.

he he yeah it’s magical. 😛 I think minimum 6 months. I use it almost every day. I have barely finished one fourth of it. 🙂

That really looks like a very good clenaser! I have the elf one and it works well enough for me. Of course, maybe I should not compare MAC to ELF 😛
