My Experience with Charlotte Tilbury Red Carpet Red Matte Revolution Lipstick:
This lipstick comes housed in a rose gold tube which looks stunning in your vanity or the dressing table. The lipstick has a vintage feel to it – the CT logo is embossed on the top of the cap and the shade name is mentioned at the bottom of the tube. The packaging totally feels luxurious and classy. The lipstick bullet is quite sturdy. The bullet has a square shape that facilitates precise and easy application. It is very easy to apply and you need not use a lip brush for application.
Another day, another red. The shade Red Carpet Red belongs to Matte Revolution range. The shade Red Carpet Red is a stunning ruby red that will look flattering on all skin tones. This looks quite deceiving in the tube; it looks more berry-ish in the tube but is a stunning red on the lips. This color is not apt for office and looks best with neutral eye makeup.
I absolutely adore this formula. It is a semi-matte formula that’s hydrating and comfortable on the lips. Most importantly, this lip color lasts for a very long time on the lips. The texture is velvety smooth. Also, the formula is quite good and the color looks good even if you do not prep your lips.
This lipstick does not bleed or feather. The staying power is around 5.5 hours and it leaves a stain behind. The application is smooth and it does not tug the lips. The pigmentation is good and one swipe delivers good color payoff. Still, the color fades away after a meal.
