You guys know how obsessed I’m with Clarins lip oils. Recently, Clarins came out with four new shades (Candy, Mint, Tangerine, Honey Glam), and I got all four of them. I’ve already reviewed the “Candy” and “Mint” variants. The one I will be reviewing today is called, “05 Tangerine”.
1 luscious formula, 3 ways to use.
These seven delectable shades infused with 100% pure plant oils nourish, soothe and plump lips — leaving a protective veil of color. Apply before lipstick for a smooth application, wear alone for soft hydrated lips, or top off any lip color for added shine.
Four new shades for a pretty pout — choose from Honey Glam, for a pop of shimmer, Mint, for a cool, natural look, or Candy and Tangerine which react to the PH of your lips creating a very personalized shade of pink or coral.
• Color-shines lips in 7 tantalizing shades
• Refreshes the senses with aromatic plant essences
• Lip-hugging applicator
My Experience with Clarins Instant Light Lip Comfort Oil Tangerine:
The packaging of the Clarins Instant Light Lip Oil is simple and elegant. The lip oil itself comes packaged in a transparent plastic bottle with a golden cap. Since the bottle is transparent, one can see how much product is left inside. I love this feature. The applicator is a huge round and flat sponge tip applicator so, you can coat your lips evenly in a single swipe. At times, I hate the fact that it has a huge sponge applicator because the application can get messy when you want a precise application.
These lip oils are like a cushion for the lips. They have a gel formula that isn’t sticky but has a mirror-like shine. Unlike the YSL lip oil, they have a thick texture that is going to stay put on your lips for hours.
The shade, “Tangerine” has an orange tint to it. It is slightly pigmented than the rest of the lip oils from Clarins. It does show up on the lips and makes my lips look pretty and juicy.
I prefer using lip oils at night since they feel intensely hydrating on the lips and feels very comfortable and lightweight on the lips. This lip oil provides hydration and softens up my lips, but it wouldn’t heal chapped lips. The hydration that it provides will help quite well though.
Having used lip oils for years now, I feel the condition of my lips has improved tremendously. They have become soft and feel less dry, and they don’t get chapped that often. Whenever I read the term “oil,” I get the picture of a thin and runny liquid, but this lip oil by Clarins doesn’t move around once you apply them onto your lips. “Tangerine” has a citrus scent that softens and fades away within 10 to 15 minutes.
Pros of Clarins Instant Light Lip Comfort Oil Tangerine:
- Best lip treatment, keeps lips hydrated for hours.
- Can be used as a lip treatment or a gloss on top of a lipstick.
- Comes with a huge sponge applicator so, you can coat your lips evenly in a single swipe.
- Non-sticky and comfortable on the lips.
- Long wearing.
- Paraben free.
- Simple and elegant packaging.
Cons of Clarins Instant Light Lip Comfort Oil Tangerine:
- The scent is a bit overpowering.
- Because of the huge applicator, at times, it can get messy.
