I am always on the lookout for soft lip colors in pinks and n*de browns for office wear. For me, pinks are easy to find as compared to n*de browns because rare shades from the family suit me. This was again an online pick and also part of my “office wear shades” hunt. So, today’s review is about Clinique High Impact Lip Color in Honey Blush. Let’s see how it looks on me 🙂

My Experience with Clinique High Impact Lip Colour – Honey Blush:
Packaging: If you have ever came across Clinique lipsticks, I mean any of them; the long
lasting range, the different lipsticks or the Rouge Impact ones, you will agree that the packaging is attractive and one would pick them up just for the sake of adding this beauty in one’s stash for the way it looks. Clinique High Impact lipstick comes in a silver metallic cylindrical tube with double pair serrations. I have noticed that Clinique makes the packaging similar as well as different in some manner; all of these ranges have similar silver metallic cases with unique and varying serrations. The cap closes tightly and it is a lightweight and travel friendly lipstick to carry in your clutch.
Texture and Finish: The lipstick is soft in texture and glides without any tug or pull. That makes the application easy and swiping trouble free. The lipstick is moisturising and somewhat hydrating for lips. The website guideline indicates that it is a warm pinkish n*de shade with golden flecks and satin finish, that’s true! We can easily detect the golden micro flecks in the lipstick bullet and on the lips after application. These are minute and don’t look like shimmer or look weird, not at all. Rather they impart satiny and glossy finish to the lips. The lipstick fades evenly and leaves behind some sparkly particles which are the only aspect I am unhappy with. The application doesn’t even require a lip liner. This high impact lip color doesn’t feather, doesn’t bleed and doesn’t settle into the fine lines of my lips, just perfect to make you feel happy. I shall clarify here that the lipstick doesn’t look frosty; it looks glazy on the lips due to golden micro flecks.
Colour and Pigmentation: The shade is defined as warm pinkish n*de on the website, but for me, it looks like a light brownish n*de, a definitely warm shade with satin finish. This is a beautiful, subtle and wearable shade for everyday and offices. It is a soft and warm shade. The pigmentation is impressive and utmost two swipes will complete the look with opacity and color deposit on lips. Suitable for even pigmented and parched lips as this is eventually moisturizing and opaque shade.
Longevity and Transferability: This shade isn’t terribly transferable; just leaves a negligible whitish mark on glasses. So, I can say it is worry free in this department too. Longevity is around four hours with continuous water intake and all. It might not survive a full meal but will do well with snacks. Reapplication is easy, so don’t starve just to save your lip color.
