Clinique High Impact Lip Colour with SPF 15 in Peach Pop

Hi Girls,

Clinique High Impact Lip Colour with SPF 15 in Peach Pop

I’m going to review a lipstick I got from Clinique as part of a gift with purchase.  It is from their “High Impact” range and is in “Peach Pop” with SPF 15.  As I’m usually a plum/mauve/nude colour person in lipsticks, I wouldn’t have actually bought this if given the choice. However, as this was part of a gift with purchase, I accepted it with all my heart and had to try it (I had to buy Clinique products worth $60 to receive a small bunch of goodies).  I’m such a sucker for gift with purchases. :woot: Even if I really do not need new products, if I see an advertisement for a gift with purchase offer, I have to be there :happydance: . So, in order to get these gifts, I bought the sunscreen and the 7-day face scrub. Sunscreen was good but the face scrub was such a disappointment and a waste of money.

Peach

As this is my very first lipstick in a peach shade, I cannot make any comparisons. The product comes in a sleek tube, which is in a light green shade. I find the tube quite stylish and cute. When I opened the lipstick, I first thought that this doesn’t look like a peach shade. I was quite confused as it looked quite like an orange-red colour; however, after applying, it looked like a good peach colour. As it is summer right now, I wanted to use it when wearing my maxi dresses as this is quite a “summer” colour.

Product Description:

An ultra-moisturising, long wearing lipstick formula that protects lips with SPF15 sun protection. Lasts up to 8 hours.  Coverage: Moderate to Full.
Benefits: SPF, Moisturising.
Colour group: Tawny /Corals.

Price:

$35 (AUD) for 3.8 g (I received as GWP).

How To Use:

  • Prepare lips for colour with all about lips.
  • To extend lipstick wear, line and fill in lips with Clinique Lip Liner.
  • I used the Avon lip primer to prep my lips.

My Take on Clinique High Impact Lip Colour with SPF 15 in Peach Pop:

I absolutely love it because it is quite a good summer colour. It has brought me out of my “mauve/berry/nude only” circle. This glides on smoothly and the packaging is quite sturdy. The bullet of the lip colour is of the normal shape. No fragrance (as all products from Clinique are fragrance free) and does not have a taste.  The lipstick also retracts well.

Peach

Colour-wise, if I give only a single coat, it gives a sheer peachy colour; however, with two coats, it gives quite a deep peach colour, in line with the claim “High Impact.”  The consistency is not very matte, but not glossy either, quite in between and is well pigmented. I think this actually looks good on me. This lipstick has golden undertone to it, I feel it matches my skin colour perfectly well. This stays well for at least 5 hours if I don’t eat or drink anything.  This contains SPF 15, so I don’t have to worry about the sun damage. It does not dry lips and there is a moisturising effect.

Why I Love Clinique High Impact Lip Colour with SPF 15 in Peach Pop:

  • Glides on smoothly, does not dry lips.
  • Contains SPF 15.
  • Lovely peach colour, good for summer.
  • Sturdy packaging.
  • Moisturising lipstick.
  • Fragrance free.

What I Do Not Like about Clinique High Impact Lip Colour with SPF 15 in Peach Pop:

  • Quite pricey at $35 for 3.8 g if I were to purchase it.
  • Other than this, there are no other complaints about this lipstick. This Clinique lipstick has left such a good impression that I actually want to try more shades from the “High Impact” range.
IMBB Rating:
4.5/5

Will I Repurchase Clinique High Impact Lip Colour with SPF 15 in Peach Pop?

As I own many lipsticks and alternate so often between them depending on my mood, I’m not going to run out of this lipstick any time soon. However, if I do, I will purchase this next summer because this is such a summery colour. In the meantime, I’m going to look out for peach shades from cheaper/drugstore brands.

  1. I like peaches and corals for summer but this season i am all in for bright colors. Reminds me of see sheer from mac. This looks more earthy though 🙂

    1. Hi Rati,

at NC 43, I feel bright colours dont suit me :headbang: …… especially in summer…..in winter im just one shade lighter…I get tanned easily and australian summers are pretty drying and too hot ……so i stick to mauves …..for me actually, bright colours suite more during winter only but they wont go well with winter wear , which will be gray/black or khakis …. :headbang:
