Today, I am going to review a shade from Coloressence’s Intense Long Wear Lip Color range and this shade is called “Petal.”

My Experience with Coloressence Petal Intense Long Wear Lip Color:

The outer paper carton is a mix of silver and black with a window at the side for the lipstick. The details about the product are mentioned at the back of the “flimsy” paper box. The shade name and number are mentioned at the base but the sticker mentioning these details is not color coded; so you have to remember the shade name and the corresponding color. Though the lipstick is smart and sturdy, I believe it has room for improvement, especially the outer carton.

The texture of the lip color is lovely, to say the least. It is thick and rich yet not gooey. It does not feel heavy on the lips and as there is no shimmer in the shade, it does not feel gritty at all. In spite of being a long-wear color, it does not feel dry or uncomfortable on the lips. On the contrary, people with normal lips can skip lip balm as this lip color keeps the lips hydrated.

The shade “Petal” is a muted shade of red with cool undertones and it is a very flattering shade. I would not say it is a unique color by any means, but it is definitely a pretty color on the lips. Pair it with simple eye makeup and it would stand out well. The lovely texture is also an added benefit to the already pretty shade.

The staying power is super impressive. With mini snacks and drinks, it stays on my lips for more than 5 hours with absolutely no fading. After that, it starts to smear a bit from the edges (without a lip liner). Considering it is a light shade, I did not expect it to last this long. Overall, I am extremely impressed with this lip color from Coloressence.
