Hey Pretty Ones!
Today, I will be reviewing two lipsticks which I had ordered online recently. They were giving huge discounts and I couldn’t resist myself from ordering two shades which I thought looked very pretty in the displayed picture on the site. Read on to see my opinion about them:
My complexion is on the bright wheatish side and tans very easily. Pinks and peaches suit me and even though I really want to sport red lips one day, for the time being, its just pinks, peaches and nudes for me. So, my hunt for the perfect pink and nude never ends! I was going through an online shopping site the other day and came across these beauties. The packaging attracted me as much as the shade. It comes in a black casing with a transparent part at the bottom which lets you check out the shade without opening the cap!
Rs. 125 for 4 gms (I got them for Rs. 103 each).
The shades I got are “Back to Basics (45)” and “Nude Suede (34).” Back to Basics appeared to be a light brownish pink on the website, but to my surprise, it turned out to be a darker pink with red undertones and fine golden shimmer! 😮 I was so disappointed. What should have been a daywear color, turned out to be a nightwear one. But in spite of all my doubts, when I applied it, boy! I was pleasantly surprised 😀 It brightened up my face immediately.
The shade “Nude Suede” was a different story altogether. It was absolutely love at first sight! 😀 It is the perfect nude shade I was looking for! It did not wash me out when I applied it, but one flaw with both the lipsticks are they are not that moisturizing. I need to apply a lip balm a few minutes before I put on these lip colors, but that is not an issue with me as their staying power is okay. It stays on for almost 3 hours even with meals in between. After that, it fades but leaves behind a nice tint.
Here are the swatches. I wrote “IMBB” since I am crazy about this blog:
As you can guess, the “I” and “M” are “back to basics” and both the “B”s are “nude suede.” The former is appearing to be a light pink here, but its actually a shade darker than that. Here are the lip swatches. Pardon the uneven application, I forgot my lip brush at home. I applied it directly with the lip color.
Back To Basics:
I am totally loving these two colors as they brighten up my face instantly! I would like to order more from them in future.
Pros of Coloressence Mesmerising Lip Colors:
- Inexpensive, even lesser cost if you order it online.
- Very pretty packaging. The transparent bottom is very convenient too.
- Staying power is pretty decent.
- No overpowering smell.
- Good pigmentation.
Cons of Coloressence Mesmerising Lip Colors:
- These lipsticks are a bit drying. Those with dry lips like me will have to use a lip balm before this.
Other than this, I cannot find anything wrong with these beauties 😀
Will I Repurchase Coloressence Mesmerising Lip Colors?
Yes, but the other shades.
Do I Recommend Coloressence Mesmerising Lip Colors?
Of course! You can experiment with a lot of colors in this price range.
