I have wanted a curling wand for quite some time now, being so obsessed with curls recently. I just so love the soft romantic loose curls look, but all the curling irons/wands I checked out were either out of my price range or just didn’t feel right (you know? that feeling that it isn’t just meant to be? :P). I did some research and found out that most of the hairstylists and beauty gurus prefer curling wands over irons (the kind with clamps) because of the tapering end which gives a more natural look and also apparently they’re much faster and the curls hold longer, and no dents in the hair because of the absence of the clamp. So when I saw this curling wand on a website recently and that too at an amazing discount of 48%, there was no turning back :D. It reached me in two days.
The Corioliss wand is the perfect tool for creating waves and curls and it is so easy to use, you can even control the size of your curl. Just hold near the root and wind away! Pro variable temperature control is ideal for different hair types and the cool tip prevents burning whilst styling. Now you can create glamorous Hollywood curls or shake your hair loose for that sexy tousled textured look. Making gorgeous curls is now so much faster and easier with Corioliss.
Rs. 3500/- but I got it for Rs. 1800/- online.
My Experience with Corioliss The Wand Hair Curler:
The glamour wand has a conical barrel with a diameter that varies from 30mm to 20mm. therefore it can be used to get tight curls or loose waves, depending on your choice. It comes with a variety of temperature settings ranging from 100 to 190 degrees. It has a tourmaline ceramic barrel that makes the curls much softer. They provide a free finger glove to prevent burning your fingertips, but with a little practice, you won’t need it anymore. It has a cool tip at the end which can be held during curling and will not burn your fingers. A red LED light comes on when the wand is plugged in, and another green LED next to it that starts blinking when the power button on the wand is switched on. The green light stops blinking when the set temperature is reached indicating it is ready to use.
I sprayed on some heat protectant spray on my hair and got to work, dividing my hair into sections. It curls really fast, just in 10-15 seconds and the curls were so soft and smooth (maybe the tourmaline technology).
I have naturally wavy to straight hair with a mind of its own :P. Here’s a pic of my hair today (it was somewhere in-between straight and wavy today :D) before and after curling.
And after :))
I got lazy halfway through, so only curled one side of my hair to show you guys, which is why the backside of my head still looks slightly messy 😛
I got lovely “Hollywood style” curls on my very first try even though this is my first attempt at curling my hair. I didn’t even spray on any hair spray, but the curls stayed all day long. I am in love with this product!! It took me only about ten minutes to curl my entire hair. I’m ecstatic that I finally found the “perfect” curler for me. 😀
It also comes with many different patterns on the handle, but I got the classic black one as it had the highest discount and I didn’t feel like paying an extra couple of hundreds for a “prettier” design :D. But girls who like a little “glam” on their styling tools will love them.
Pros of Corioliss The Wand Hair Curler:
- Variable temperature settings.
- Heats up really fast (less than 30 seconds).
- Cool tip to prevent burning of fingers.
- Conical barrel for curls of various sizes.
- Safety sleep mode after 30 minutes.
Cons of Corioliss The Wand Hair Curler:
- I can’t think of any frankly, absolutely loving this! But it is a bit too expensive unless you get it at a discounted price.
Do I Recommend Corioliss The Wand Hair Curler?
Curls are not a must for most girls, but I think those who are obsessed with it like me will definitely love it.
4.5/5 (-0.5 for the price).
