Recently, Dior came out with new shades of my favourite lip balm ever – Dior Lip Glow Hydrating Color Reviver Lip Balm. I have picked only one shade that grabbed my attention and that is “Matte Raspberry.”
A sheer balm, with two brand-new finishes, that enhances your natural lip color while moisturizing and protecting lips. The must-have universal balm from Dior Backstage, is now unveiling two new finishes—Matte and Holographic—alongside the original Glow. Inspired by the expert techniques of the Dior Backstage, Lip Glow is the first color reviver balm by Dior, combining the comfort of a balm with a natural flush of custom color. Its secret lies in the perfect balance between make-up and lip care, thanks to Dior’s famous Color Reviver technology, which reacts to the unique chemistry of each person’s lips to give them a natural flush of custom color that suits each skin tone. Lips look fresh, full, and radiant, as if revived from within.
My Experience with Dior Lip Glow Hydrating Color Reviver Lip Balm 102 Matte Raspberry:
Dior lip glow comes housed in a translucent pink case with the name of product on the top and the shade name at the end. There is a metal tube that holds the balm and it slides from the pink tube.
I love Dior Lip Glow, but I have mixed feelings about “Matte Raspberry.” This is a pretty pink shade which alters color according to your body temperature. This particular shade is matte finish which makes it not as hydrating as other balms from this range.
It goes on smoothly and feels a little waxy, but feels luxe at the same time on the lips. Though it looks really pretty on the lips, but being a matte formula balm, it clings on to every dry patch on my lips. Therefore exfoliation is needed prior to application.
Honestly, the “Original” and “Coral” are still my favourites, this one is not. This “Matte Raspberry” lasts pretty well on my lips and gives 5 hours of wear time even with eating and drinking. It basically stains your lips for a very long time.
Pros of Dior Lip Glow Hydrating Color Reviver Lip Balm 102 Matte Raspberry:
- Good staying power.
- Stains your lips.
- Feels luxe on the lips.
- Pretty packaging.
Cons of Dior Lip Glow Hydrating Color Reviver Lip Balm 102 Matte Raspberry:
- Not hydrating enough.
- Clings on to dry patches.
Would I Recommend Dior Lip Glow Hydrating Color Reviver Lip Balm 102 Matte Raspberry?
Yes , if you want to try new shades, but I would personally go for “Original” and “Coral” variants, they are my personal favorites.
