These days, I am totally into maintaining a healthy lifestyle. I try to have healthy foods all the time. Along with maintaining a healthy diet, I am trying to improve my skin texture with some healthy fruits. Fruits contain so many nutrients, and their combinations always turn into amazing face mask recipes. I try to use fewer ingredients to keep it simple, but the benefits are really huge. Today, I am sharing a face mask recipe with kiwi and pomegranate, two fruits that are easily available everywhere.
Ingredients and Their Benefits:
Kiwi is not only a delicious a fruit by taste, it has so many nutrients like Vitamin C, E and antioxidants. It keeps skin healthy and rejuvenating. Kiwis make skin young and maintain elasticity of skin with a healthy glow. It can fight skin problems like pimple, acne, excess sebum etc. Also, kiwis can help repair skin texture.
Pomegranate is rich of antioxidants which helps in keeping skin healthy and youthful. It can prevent from hyper pigmentation and dark spots on the skin as well. Also, makes skin smooth and keeps it hydrated. It slows down the signs of ageing by reducing wrinkles and fine lines. It is also beneficial for oily skin. Not to forget, it keeps skin pimple free.
Honey is naturally antibacterial, so it’s great for acne treatment. It is full of antioxidants; it is great for anti aging treatments. It is extremely moisturizing and soothing, so it helps create a radiant glow too. Honey is clarifying because it opens up the pores making them easy to unclog.
Almond contains Vitamin E. We all know that Vitamin E is great for skin. Almond works as a great moisturizer, makes skin very smooth. It is a natural whitening ingredient and can give a hydrated, fresh skin within few days.
Step 1: First you need to take all the ingredients, make sure they are fresh. Now, make a fine paste of kiwi & almonds. Also, make a juice of pomegranate seeds.
Step 2: Add 2 tablespoon of pomegranate juice with 1 tablespoon of almond paste in a bowl. Mix both the ingredients together nicely.
Step 3: Mix crushed kiwi with the previous mixture. Amount depends totally on you; I had taken 4 slices to make the paste. Now, combine them well.
Step 4: Add 1 tablespoon of honey in the mixture to make a mixture that’s quite thick and more powerful.
Step 5: Your face mask is ready to use now. Consistency of this face pack is runny in texture. So, I like to use this with a facial wipes. I had designed a wipe like one of those sheet masks you can in the market. After reaching the desired shape of the sheet, gently put the mixture on it. Now, your DIY sheet mask is ready to be applied on face.
Just put the wipes on face adjusting its position. Keep the mask on face for 30 minutes. Now, remove the wipe gently from the face. Rinse the entire mask with plain water. Apply your favorite moisturizer after wash.
Overall, the face pack is very easy to make and all the ingredients are easily available in the market. I always prefer fresh fruits over store bought masks. Kiwi and pomegranate are very healthy fruits. You should add them to your diet chart as well. They also work like magic when added in a face pack. I always get some pimples during that time of the month, and such pimples always leave bad marks on my face. I have been using this face pack for sometime now, and I can notice lesser spots on my face. It makes my skin smooth. All the dry patches are totally disappearing. My skin feels more radiant and glowing.
It keeps my skin hydrated. This face mask is suitable for skin types. I have oily skin and my mom has dry skin. This works great for both of us. I think this is a great face mask for fall season. Our skin tends to get problematic, owing to changing seasons, but this keeps our skin problem free. I am using two face packs in a week one is Green Apple and Banana Face Mask and second one is this one. Both the masks make my skin glow and keep it healthy. I will recommend both of these face masks if you want your skin to become better. 🙂
