Dr Brandt Pore Dermabrasion Pore Perfecting Exfoliator Review

Hello friends,

How have you been? Well, the holiday and festive season has just begun while we still recover from Diwali threshold party. So people update your winter skin care and beauty regime as we land on series of events ahead! In fact I am already working on my winter skin care regimen as I share another key product from Dr Brandt brand today. Dr Brandt is a reliable and promising brand to me as I have tried, tested and liked many of their products earlier. Recently, I came across their pore perfecting scrub cum chemical exfoliator which claims to deliver smooth soft skin apart from perfecting our pores and it is true up to good extent just that I feel I can limit its usage considering its chemical formulation and other facts. I have finished off some 2-3 deluxe tube of this exfoliator as it always manages to reach me through my friends or via gifts from hubby’s office. This also means how popular this brand is among people (impressive huh); hence I felt sharing this little secret weapon with you all. So let’s know more about Dr Brandt Pore Dermabrasion Pore Perfecting Exfoliator!

What it is:
A unique professional-grade physical and chemical exfoliator and pore perfector in one.

What it is formulated to do:
PoreDermabrasion™ Pore Perfecting Exfoliator reduces the look of enlarged pores and mattifies shine. Minimize pores while smoothing and evening skin’s texture with this dual-action formula. This exfoliator instantly works to deeply cleanse pores while it strengthens and tightens the look of pores by removing congestion- and clogging-causing impurities. Your skin will look and feel smoother, more even, and shine-free.

My Experience with Dr Brandt Pore Dermabrasion Pore Perfecting Exfoliator:

Well the pearly shiny white exfoliator comes in a shining blue tube with a tight fit cap. It does have significant synthetic smell which might bother sensitive noses though I am pretty fine with it. Overall, I find it quite user friendly and travel friendly packaging.

The texture of exfoliator is pretty fine; it consists of fine grainy particles just like “sooji” which does not seem harsh on my skin while they do the job effectively except in few cases. I mean my oily skin and open pores demand slight more than what this particular exfoliator has to offer though I like the texture of this scrub which is non-abrasive, perfect for acne prone skin even. However, I see that certain ingredients, like alcohol, do make their presence felt on my skin as I feel slight dryness which needs immediate follow-up with moisturizer. This also means it might be tricky for dry, sensitive skin beauties as the formula might aggravate their already dry, flaky skin further.
Even I feel winters are not a good time for me to use it on skin as my oily skin becomes slight dry and the exfoliator simply makes situation slight tricky for me as well which was surprisingly not the case when I started with it almost 2 months back.
Yes gals, when I first started with this exfoliator (2 months back), it simply impressed me with its fine grainy texture which was not rough on my skin; with gentle massage effects it mildly sloughed away rough patches and dead dry skin off my face in minutes while I felt silky, soft skin post wash. I felt visibly reduced pore size apart from clear complexion every time which made it staple product in my vanity for a while. Moreover, I did feel the need of using moisturizer but it did not accentuate dryness or aggravate my oily acne prone skin luckily. However, now that winters are here I see that my skin needs something natural to effectively clear my pores without causing dryness and so one can imagine its limited utility for other skin type.

I mean this product is really good for combination/oily skin beauties even with problematic skin all year round; it is so mild yet gives perfect results every time except that we need to follow up with hydration lotion but it is definitely not meant for dry skin beauties. Even if I had to choose this or my Ole Henriksen walnut scrub, then I would always choose the walnut scrub for its effective non-drying results even in winters, not to forget the price. Personally I might not get it again since I have two more tubes to finish off first while I am more inclined towards the walnut scrub.

• Presence of chemicals makes it tricky for dry skin even though the texture of the exfoliator is perfect for every skin type.
• Even it feels slightly drying to me especially in winters.

• Pricey definitely.

Would I Repurchase Dr Brandt Pore Dermabrasion Pore Perfecting Exfoliator:
Well, as I already told, I have tried many good exfoliators than this particular product; hence I am not convinced to get it again though the fine granular particles included in this product are good enough for dry normal, sensitive skin types. I feel I am more bothered with its chemical formulation which in turn might be a turn off for many beauties.
