Make Earrings using Hair Pins
Hi,
This is my first DIY here on IMBB and I am excited .I have always loved crafts during my school days and the recent articles here made me go back and play with my paints. I have started my glass and vase paintings after sooo many years and thanks to IMBB for that. I made this earrings on a lazy afternoon when there was no power cut(as usual here in Tamil Nadu).I was searching for something in my dressing table and these cute hair pins caught my eyes.I decided to paint it and took out my kit.
Things needed:
1.Hair pins
2.Acrylic colours
3.Brush
4.Earring loops
Thats it!! Let me tell you how I made it.
Step 1:
Paint the top layer of the hair pin by holding the bottom and let it dry for 15-20mins.I have used lemon yellow to make it look bright for the summers.
Step 2:
Now,paint the bottom also by holding the sides of the pin and let it dry.
Step 3:
Now, attach the hair pins to the earring loop. You can attach 2-3 hair pins in a small loop.You can use a bigger loop,if you want to have more pins hanging in your loop.I decided to keep it simple and used only two pins.
Step 4:
You can just leave it as such or add more colours to it so as to customize for your outfit. I gave it a green coating in the lower end of the hair pin alone, not using it in the bottom. Let it dry for some 10mins.
Tada! Ready to use..:)
Some points:
1. I have used small sized hair pins. You can use the one that are longer if you love to wear long earrings.
2. You do not have acrylic colours? No problem.!!. Just use your Maybelline coloroma nail paints or the elle18 nail pops to customize your earrings.
